Unless you are looking to get together a bunch of folks to come up to the CAA #3 and then you are welcome to rally everyone in Palm Desert to come on up!

Just trying to keep the thread alive for those who have not heard about the CAA in the Reno/Tahoe area as well as for those still on the fence about coming!

 

I am still thinking about making the drive. It may depend on the price of gas. I sure would love to be there.

 

It was a beautiful drive from Fl to Nevada. But it is a long one!

Well you never know what is going to happen with gas prices. They should drop a little this next month with loosing of oil reserve talk in the States and in the U.K. but all it takes is a little saber rattling in North Korea or more unrest in the middle east and they start to creep up again.

Then again you have to take into account that traditionally oil prices go down during the Summers here but then again they traditionally go up during election years. So that leaves me with this advice to you, "Become the first person on here to drop in an electric engine so you do not have to worry about gas prices anymore lol "

I would do that but the extension cord will cost more than the gas.

It's looking better that my wife and I will be able to make it. So you can move me + 1 to "attending", but leave my son Tyler, and his NA, under "tentative" because of his school.

 

Got you moved up and glad you two will be able to make it! What kind of schooling is your son doing?

My wife may miss it as well because depending on if no other school but Tulane accepts her for their Graduates program she may be moving Back east the week before the meet.

 

He's attending a local college and we won't know his schedule until the summer.

 

Good for him! Hopefully his class schedule still allows him to make it to the CAA!

 

Been watching this from the shadows and while I would love to carry on attending what started as a great idea by Karl some years ago and originated in STL, we are just not going to be able to swing another visit out West and go to the beloved Fall Dragon. We really wish you all the best and of some of the characters I see attending you are in for a treat. Just watch out if that JoeJet guy shows up, he's a confused transplant from somewhere back east

 

Hey erzer, go easy on me. I dont want all the westerners elbowing each other and pointing at me, if I go to Reno. I'll be talking it up at the Texas meet in May and hopefully we can get a group together again. I had a great time in St.Louis and Denver and hope to be in Reno. Ill miss you and Ruth but I plan to make a Dragon soon. Gas alone to Reno and back will be $500+, holy crap.
