Yea, and the Genesis Coupe crowd about has all the cabins rented. They are, in some cases, staying four to a cabin. About 100 cars registered, so far.

 

Hay Pat did they say how many room were left ? there are 36 on the list and i think we had 50 rooms block should have about 12,13,14 rooms still ,unless a few have not put there names on the list , i SAY COME ONE COME ALL CROSSFIRE OWNERS , PUT THE WING UP AND COME UP TO THE MEET IN THE NC MTN !!!!! OH yaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!!

 

I don't know how many rooms are left but when I called Tim said he wasn't sure if there were any rooms left in the lodge then after checking he said there were just a few. Everyone better get there reservation!!!

 

Our cabins are almost gone too per one of our people attending. We are checking to confirm with Fontana too. As it has been mentioned, we are up to 92 signed up on our FB event page. We are sending out a registration form like we always do to get a firm head count.

Our contract with Fontana Lodge is to secure 50 rooms inside the lodge for Friday and Saturday and less for Thursday and Sunday until August 29th.
Those who reserve a room for Friday and Saturday can normally remain in that room on Sunday if they choose to.
I will contact reservations at Fontana Lodge tomorrow to confirm the number of rooms already reserved and the number of rooms still available in our Crossfire room block.

I called the lodge this morning and Talked to Theresa she said there are plenty of rooms available at the crossfire rate. Anyone who has not gotten the discount call and ask for Theresa and she'll get you the discounted rate. I still wouldn't wait around to much longer to get your room cause they will eventually sell out. Pat

Ya GOTTA remember to say "Crossfire Group" when you call for a room! Then, when they tell ya there are no rooms, ya gotta assume the person did NOT listen when you told them what GROUP you are with ! So, you tell them again (politely) that you are with the group and that "we have a buncha rooms reserved".

Good to be going, can't wait. A question for those who have been, is there a campsite near the lodge that most of you will be staying at?

 

There is (are?) campsite(s) around there. Closest and probably most expensive is Fontana itself.
It's about a 2 mile drive from the Lodge, down at the bottom of the Dam on Hellbender on the way to the Dragon.

Tent sites are $20 to $30 a night. You might get something cheaper near Bryson City but that is about a 1/2 hour drive (or more, right everyone?)

But Rooms are only $79 a night - you might find someone willing to share a room.

The rooms are only available until August 29th

After August 29th any remaining rooms will be released from our group and the rate will then increase.

Depends... do I still have to pay half price? What if I shared my girlfriend, I think she qualifies. lol j/k
