8th Annual Fall 2014 - Tail of the Dragon GTG-October 3, 4, 5
Note: the Brew and chew will happenon Sunday. friday we are invited to return to Squerly's Mountain home in RainbowNC for a free BBQ louncheon. Sign up sheet in post #32s
My trip "off road" thru the tulips
Suggestion,
Cades Cove in the morning. After a stop at the musem/shops, Loop around and take Rich's Mtn Road to old Cade's cove road and then to Lemar Alexander highway. Have lunch at the Brew and Chew. Then head home to Fonatana if on Friday, Or home to Home (stLouis etc) if on Sunday.
We would be returning early enough on Friday to greet the Crossie folks coming in for the week end. Or if on Sunday, be done with Lunch in time for the 8 to10 hour drive towards our homes. The Friday route goes back over Foothills PKWY and the Dragon.
It does involve some gravel on Rich's mountain road. I've been there myself in an 88 Lincoln TC. Not too bad and great scenery.
Like I said, my trip off road thru the tulips

Welcome folks
There is no set schedule at this time
We have a meeting in the lobby at Fontana lodge on Friday evening around 9pm to discuss the routes and introduce the leaders
We have several routes we have run in the past and we will most likely be running these same routes again but most of those details are put together once the group leaders and myself arrive and discuss them
Dan,
Glad to have ya back
Got you on the list in post #3
See ya soon
Gary

Now I have a second choice...
Howdy all from GenSport United. The Gen Coupes will be around again to share Fontana with y'all and once more look forward to sharing these great roads with all the XFs out there coming. Be sure to give a wave and we will try to return the favor if not midway through carving a corner. Per the TOTD website, it looks like we are the only two groups officially scheduled, so hopefully that leads to more open roads to share for all.

What is y'alls count currently for numbers attending?

It will be good to see your group again !!
Thanks! We are trending towards 100ish again like last fall. Fortunately we have learned ways to split up groups and runs to make sure we don't cause too big of a clog on any one route.

It looks like I'm getting stood up on my date with crumpy. She has a better offer from a younger guy.
So, for now, take her but not her car off the list.
My Plant manager wants to go. He may drive hers or his Mustang.

Thanks nick haha! And I thought I was going to come to the dragon again with a truck but NO! I managed to pick up a bmw 135i (twin turbo I6) cannot wait to see everyone especially my Australian friend and Nick and see what my new found love will do on those roads!
Great . . . looks like we'll be following Nick's lead and tearing up the roads together again! Can't wait!
I had such hope for you Nick
Shaun you young rascal, it will be good to see you again. I am still waiting for you to post the video you took of us all driving into the dam in the spring, do you still have it? be good to see.
Dont forget you still have time to get your Fall Dragon tee shirts to wear to the drivers meeting.
