one of my better days.....
we use to hold the meet closer to Halloween and had a costume party...just to let you all know...this isn't my usual look, although some may think it is better...

The view from here is tremendous:
The Foothills Parkway and Look Rock
Just a 10 minute drive off the far end of the Dragon - I ALWAYS go up there at least once over the weekend.
It IS a walk up to the bottom of the tower - but almost anyone can do it - if you take your time.

The host of last year's off road run in Franklin NC has contacted me and invited us to reprise that BBQ.
I can find a detour around the gravel and get us there on a fun road. I would think Saturday the best day but we could do it Friday again.
And I invite nubies on this run.
Keep in mind this is basically a free meal. Bring a bottle of wine or sumpthin for the host.
If we do this on Friday, I will move the Brew and Chew to Saturday or Sunday.
Let me know what you would like, here of via PM.

Kevin,
You are welcome to join us on the way down. We can meet up on I-75 along the way.
Let me know and we can work out a time.

It looks like Friday will be the BBQ running down Robinsvill to Topton, then Wayah road to Rainbos springs. After lunch we can return via Franklin andback up 28. Leave at 9:30 and return by 3:00 or so
Carl, be sure your tank is full this time. No gas on Wayah road.
Sunday will be the Cades Cove run to Riche's mountain road and then the Brew and Chew on Alaxander PKWY, maryville TN. Again, we leave at 9:30 and return when ever.
I, and my buddy Mike, will be heading home from the restaurant. But the return to the Lodge is easy. Foothills Parkway to the Dragon for a last run in.
Both runs are great views, on very curvy roads, However, non aggressive driving. I'll have that fun Saturday.

Franc you can count me in if its a gravel free run, the place was really nice and they were such good hosts it will be nice to go back. The grub was superb. Anyone that comes needs to bring a bottle for the hosts.
Watch this video i just posted on you tube, a preview of the excitement to come for all the newbies coming to the Dragon in October:
Maybe you can use your talents to 'photo shop' this into the video?

Would love to attend the BBQ but don't think i will make it on time.
Will there be directions to get there? I will get there some time on Friday but not sure what time. May have to change my driving plans to get there earlier on Friday.
