Friday run to Raibow Springs.
We Leave the lodge at 9:30 in the morning. We should be back before 3:00 to welcome the incoming Friday crowd.
I will arrange the route with one fuel stop on the way.
Our host is debating whether to have a shrimp boil or Chicken & burger BBQ. It's free so I'll eat just about anything Trish wants to cook.
Got a message from Trish&Jim. It's gonna be BBQ, Pulled pork and fixin's!
The house on the mountain is finished and there is plenty of room BUT...
There will be limited parking so we need to know how many are attending. Please send me a PM.

I apologize for not posting a final reminder last week for deadline for making a reservation for the Crossfire group:
Reservations must be made by August 30th to get a room at our group rate
They might still honor the group rate but the contract states that the date the group rate would end was August 30th

A slight change of plans, Mary will not be coming with me this time, sorry guys. (I think she really didn't want to) Our friends wanted to go to the beach at this same time so we decided that the girls would go to the beach and the guys would go to the mountains. So I will bring a friend. That worked out good.

That stinks, Dustin. THe rooms in RObbinsville are kinda cheap - but it's a 1/2 hour drive from the Lodge.

Mary did real well. I told her I was proud of her, she didn't scream a single time. Coming back through Ochee, (a lot of curvy road) she drove, and kinda scared me.
Bob is a T-bird owner and has been trying to find a group locally.

Not at all, we have some friends that want to go to the beach at the same time as our GTG, we decided the girls would go to the beach and Bob and I will go to the mountains.

I'm only 3 hours away and I stay multiple nights. You'll want to stay for the party on Saturday night.

Kleito, make sure you get to the lodge before 9am so that you can join one of the runs otherwise we may all have gone out for the day if you are too. Late arriving. If you are going to arrive later may be good to get a contact number for one of the run leaders so that you might be able to join up somewhere on their route.

I have added you both to the list in post #3
I strongly recommend you arrive on Saturday morning by 8:30am if you are unable to be present and/or staying Friday night at the lodge for our drivers meeting held around 9pm or shortly after.
At the drivers meeting we introduce the group leaders for the weekend (at least Saturday)
They will describe the routes they will lead and answer any questions from the group overall.
The entire group generally starts to form around 8:30 to 9:00 Saturday morning in the lodge parking lot to head out for the group photo shoot at the Fontana Dam and then leave from there to begin the Saturday runs in individual groups.
We don't want anyone left behind but if you are not accounted for you will miss the departure.
This is a full weekend for most so I encourgae you to join us and make it a weekend at the lodge to enjoy the experience fully.
If you cant that's OK....
