note that #17 was a tentative route plan asking for input... i got nothing back but that it was too long a trip. So, it is not a trip I scheduled to do with grp at this point because of that input.
I may do myself anyway just to see something new if time permits, but it does look like this mingo close to last points on that route I had.

I am going to smokemount nc to mingo falls on sat.. if any one want to join us lets set up a trip . it is about one hour one way.,, and maybe have lunch in bryson city ,, either before or after the falls visit and maybe to bridal veil after lunch round trip to both falls is about 4 hours

Sorry to have to decline the offer only because we will still be at our summer home here in Marble, NC. Sue and I are looking forward to seeing you at the event. We will be arriving late Thursday afternoon and hope to see you then.

Ok, if you need a room CONTACT Yellobird NOW.
YOu can paypal Yellobird her deposit, then you and her call the lodge and move the reservation to your name. IT is that easy - the lodge WILL NOT refund her, but you can pay her yourself.
If you have any issues, you can ask for Marie Rogers at the lodge and she can help but there will be NO REFUNDS, you must pay Yellobird directly.

I just booked my room for Thursday night a little east of Chattanooga. I plan to leave Baton Rouge at around 3:00, arriving at the hotel at around 10pm. Sleep for 5 hours, get up and make the remaining 2 hours to Fontana. Hopefully in time to see all the beautiful cars in the parking lot!
(5-6 hours sleep a night is my norm).
I am trying to make it to where I can leave BR at 2, but it is Exam Week and I can't get off any sooner than 3 at this time. Working on that.

You can ASK for anything you want, but I"m passing along what the lodge has told me/us to do.
If you have managed to get them to do what you describe, perhaps others can as well.

Dillsboro NC will be having a local artist craft fair on Saturday October 6th. Cathy and I attended last year and it was pretty good. The Greek restaurant is also recommended.

You don't. We deal with "who goes with what group?" on Thursday evening (for the Friday groups), Friday evening (for the Saturday groups) and Saturday evening (for the Sunday groups).
We just want to know what days you will be with us so we can get an idea how many cars will be participating each day - this helps with planning and tells us how many leaders we need.
