I drove one as a test before buying my XF, that was the most claustrophobic car I have ever been in
We are attending. Rob Nichols, III and my co-pilot Julie St. Clair from Bargersville, Indiana. Will be driving Betty Nugs, a 2006 Machine Grey Roadster. At least Friday-Sunday.
I would think that your sis will be able to join others from that area. It's always better & more enjoyable to be with a group on a long trip. Just stay tuned to this thread and several convoys should start to form.

Looking to make my first trip to the Dragon this year, Wesley Proffitt from Mountain Home, AR. Should arrive early on 10/01 and leave on 10/05
Hi, Peter and Barbara Turner will be coming to the 2020 tail of the Dragon. We are from Red Springs North Carolina. We will be arriving Thursday afternoon and leaving sometime Sunday. My car is “Goldilocks“ which is an oyster gold 2007 Limited coupe with three pedals! This will be our second time attending, we were with everyone last year. Look forward to seeing everyone !!
Hey everyone, I'm Ross from Woodstock GA. I'm a new member as well as new crossfire owner and will be bringing my 2007 silver manual Roadster. I may or may not be bringing a buddy along for the ride. Looking forward to meeting everyone! I'm not exactly sure which days I'll be able to make, but I plan on just driving up there from home each day (only 2.5 hrs to get there)

Additionally, you will be driving all day apart from your 5 hour a day commute.
Lodge rooms are not that expensive, and you can NOT be part of the fun if all you are doing is driving with us. The social aspect, at the lodge in the evening, is WHY we go - it really isn't all about the roads.
But you ARE car 50, so make sure you make it up!

You might want to read the information in the first few posts.
Our days start by 9am and go quite late.

We will enjoy having you but as Mark said here staying at the lodge makes the weekend complete
In the evenings we all gather and spend time together socializing after a day of driving
It really is part of the weekend experience
Rooms are still available if you choose to make a reservation just call (828) 498 2211 and ask for the reservations desk.
Tell them your booking with the "Chrysler Crossfire Group" to be certain to get our reduced group rate.
Whatever you decided we look forward to having you !!
Gary
I plan on attending one day only, Saturday, October 3rd, arriving hopefully before 8:00 am, heading home later that day. My daughter Stacey Clark will be my passenger.
Thanks!.

Oh, and you don't want to miss the Friday night activiites! THe first few posts have a LOT of information in them.
Whew, finally got in, I would like to make a correction to Patrick Madigan on the car, i misstyped it before, he will be driving a 2008 Silver Lexus IS-F.
Also, we will be coming from AZ and be mostly taking the 40 all the way across to the north of the dragon, if anyone wants to meet up and convoy just let us know because that may determine whether we make it a two day trip over or three.

Its really remarkable that this event was virtually not gonna happen when Fontana Lodge was closed
and had No lessee to operate the facility from June 5th until the beginning of August
Then it was announced the resort has a new Lessee and will re-open on August 15
Our attendance list grew from 22 Crossfires attending to now 61 in only 4 weeks !!!
It's just confirms that this event is still desired by so many Crossfire owners nationwide !!!!
We will take precautions for everyone's safety so please be sure to at least have a mask with you at all times.
There will likely be times and places where they will be required.
Looking forward to seeing all of you in just 4 weeks !!!

I'm thinking we can do the driver's meeting in a little different way.
1) I'm considering a meeting for first time attendees on Thursday at 9 and again Friday at 9. This will keep the meeting short and limit attendance.
2) The presentation of leaders - route descriptions: Everyone needs to be present for this - BUT, Weather permitting, this can be done outdoors.
I am working on printing those route map/descriptions from a few years ago, to be left on the welcome table.
Im just now formulating how do to this. Details will be on the "Crossfire Board" in the lobby - along with other announcements, as usual, all weekend.
In general, the weekend will go as it has in the past, but some adjustments can be made that will make things more comfortable - the last thing we want is for this to turn into "look at how many got sick once they got home from the Dragon."
