Who is our fearless leader for this event? Are there arrangements in place for a car washing area at our hotel?
Leaders are Bob McCubbin, Lori, Zach and Dean - with a LOT of help from quite a team of advisors/assistants.
Car wash arrangements have been made - we are really being treated well at this new location.
Since I changed the fluid on my transmission to get ready for the Rally, the broken car gods took favor and rendered my transmission inoperative. You can read about that drama here: Broke Trans
I really was looking forward this event. Now I will be spending the next few months fixing and getting my car to the high standards that are shared by many on this forum. I wish everybody there a safe journey!
I have a working transmission that you can have for free. Came out of a good running car. We can put it in the trunk of our car as we head up from FL to the rally. Just meet us somewhere, and it is yours.

Just made it home, about 1600 miles total. No wrecks, no breakdowns, no tickets. Couldn't ask for more than that, but then the Fall Rally organizers went and created such an incredible event on top of that! We can't thank you enough for the extreme effort putting this all together! The venue was great, the runs and run leaders were great, and the camaraderie couldn't have been better! Thanks to all who made this time possible!
Steve & Jessie made it home yesterday afternoon; good time with open roads all the way back to S. Alabama. We had a wonderful time seeing so many friends and driving new roads. The Meadowview Center is clean, modern and well suited for our group; Definitely looking forward to next year. Thanks to all those who got this organized and those who stepped up and took the lead car!
We arrived a day early and spent an extra day on Monday exploring the area on our own. There is a lot to see in the surrounding hills and valleys all wrapped in historical perspectives.

With the groundwork laid in 2023, planning for the 2024 Crossfire Fall Rally promises to be even smoother. We are looking for individuals ready to take the helm and lead the planning and execution. Our exceptional volunteer team is ready to support you, and your role would be crucial in ensuring a seamless and successful event.
As the new leader, your responsibilities include coordinating with the hotel for accommodations, updating the website, setting up registration in our software, engaging the community, recruiting volunteers, and planning daily events. Leveraging the groundwork from the previous year will make this year's planning significantly easier, ensuring a more streamlined process.

He's a good guy! Looks like we are headed back to the same area as last year. I missed last year, but I think I will make this event.
I told him I'd lead a group - I already feel sorry for any who follow me, I've only been to one event up there and that was at least seven years ago.
