Default Audio in Trunk

Anyone here own a roadster with some sort of bass setup (like a sub box) in their trunk?

I've been told that the vibrations won't get through to the cab (passenger) area due to a metal sheet between the seats and the trunk in the xfire roadster, but i want to hear what you guys have done if you've gotten any extra oomph.

i'm planning on doing a setup in my '05 roadster and my buddy (who has a car audio business on the side) seems to think everything would be fine.

here's the problem...
i need to find subs that are thin enough to fit underneath the roof hatch for the roadsters, because i want the box to slide in under there... most subs i've seen have been pretty deep, i know there are rockford p1 10 inches but they are WEAK!

i'm actually thinking maybe i should go with dual 200 watt 10" bazooka subs in the trunk since they're thin profiled and i could fit the underneath... but quality probably won't be too great.

I installed a 10" kenwood sub in my trunk and it works great. I jumpered the top cover micro switch so I could leave the top cover in the folded position which seems to help. The only problem I have is my wife complains about no trunk space. It's not that big of deal, we only use the car for pleasure on nice sunny days.

thanks! please tell me how much you can feel the small 10" sub in the cab? does it really make a difference? just a 10" ? also, do you think i'd be able to fit two if i wanted to do the same thing, i'm assuming they're kenwood p1's ?

It is a kenwood 10" tube sub. No you will not be able to fit two across, not enough width. But they do add a lot of lower bass.
