Knocking Noise in cockpit
Had my Crossfire 4 weeks now, love it, what an eye catcher...just recently its developed a knocking noise seems to be coming from the back of the drivers seat, i have moved the seat forward so it does not rub on the bulkhead...it sounds like its coming from the pillar or door?
I may have the same noise in my car... didn't seem to do it when I test drove the car but it's doing it now. I'm guessing it's something in the rear hatch area but I haven't had time to check into it yet.
Anyone else have any ideas?

Funny you should ask... Ya, there is sort of a strange light "ticking" sound like 2 pieces of plastic knocking against each other in the back trunk area... I've learned to ignore it... Hunt it down... Throw a friend or one your kids in the back of the hatch/trunk and go for a ride with their ears peeled for the location of the noise. The trunk pan or top hatch area where the plastic meets...
I had the same thing, took it to my local dealer and they fixed it by tightening something with the suspension. It was a terrible clacking noise right behind the passenger seat. It took them a couple of hours and I was back on the road with no noise. I will look up the invoice and post exactly what they did.
Yea, please do... I can't imagine this noise being the suspension, but I also can't imagine there being any parts back there in the interior that could make the noise either... it only happens when hitting bumps and it sounds like a creak or a bumpity rattle... hard to explain. I know it wasn't doing it when I test drove the car but it's doing it now.

The other is more of an interior "clickety-clackety" like two pieces of plastic banging into each other. Heard inside the car only when it's quiet (no radio) behind the driver...
These are sort of the quirky noises the car makes... But, I'd like to know what causes each one and get it fixed if possible... The suspension one is of course more important.
The noise I was getting was happening all the time, not only in reverse. It sounded like something was loose. It was metal on metal and it would occur at slow speeds as well as high. It sounded pretty bad but I had to drive around with it for over 1 week because I could not get an appointment to bring the car into the dealership. No permanent damage was done, and since it has been tightened I have not had a peep made from the rear end. I am pretty sure it had to do with the suspension, I will look it up for sure when I get home from work and post exactly what was done.
mind is the second noise you're describing... can hear it with the radio down and sounds like a panel or something rattling... happens all the time... except when I had groceries in the back I couldn’t' hear it but that may have been because it was muffled... or maybe it's something in the floor.
Sorry guys, I cannot find the work order. But I would take it in because it was an easy fix and they said it is a common problem that can end up causing serious damage to the suspension. I do not know how or why someone would put up with a noise coming from their car when it is under warranty. Not to mention it might be dangerous. They told me it took them all of 10 minutes to find the problem once it was up on the lift.
Sounds like it could be the fuel pump and pick-up which is in the gas tank directly behind your seats underneath the carpet in the rear hatch... I'm not kidding... The fuel pump has been known to come loose inside the tank and start rattling around. And since it is right behind your back, you can hear it ticking, knocking, etc...
