Top Down Beeping Sound?
Occasionally when my wife puts the top down on her '05 Roadster, after the final beep to say the top is down and your ready to go, about 10 sec. later you get another beep and it continues from there. continues to beep for about 10 minutes?
Happened 3 different times now.

I have heard the same thing in the past. If the deck does not lock down totally and is ajar, you will get the "beeps". One time I had to raise and then lower the top before it would stop.
I was having a similar problem, where I would hear that beep from time to time. I would look at my dash to see if I had a warning light, but none were lit. Finally I realized that silly me
was inadvertently pressing my top button with my hand or or arm while resting it on the center console.

I am experiencing a series of beeps when I put the top up. It's something I've not noticed before. I press the button and the top begins to rise, but then I get a series of beeps while it's going up. I do get the beep that the cover is locked and I can pull the handle down, and then the beeping stops.
I understand the partition needs to be in place and hooked correctly to put the top down, but is that also the case in putting the top up?
FP, you mentioned that you had your hand on the button. I guess I hadn't thought about this...but, do I not need to keep the button depressed while raising or lowering the top? While I'm typing this, I can't remember if I have simply pressed and let go of the button and the top goes into it's thing. I guess I probably keep my it depressed during the process like one would do with the electric windows. I would think if I let go of the button the motors would stop.
My partition piece did break on the driver's side, and my husband has temporarily glued the plastic piece together until he finds the time to install the new part. I have to manually check the latch and be sure it's in place everytime I put the top down.
Anyway...any suggestions would be appreciated.

GG...yes you must keep your finger on the button when raising and lowering the top. Also the partition must be properly seated when raising and lowering the top.
GG, If you're getting a series of beeps while holding down the button, and the top is still opening or closing, I think the temp solution your hubby put in place is starting to deteriorate, so you're getting intermittent type of sensor connectivity. IMO, that's what's causing the beeps.

Bumpy roads and vibrations could also cause the sensor to temporarily lose connectivity.
If someone is in the driver/passenger seat without the seat belt on, beeps. E-brake not all the way off, beeps. Close the top before the rear hatch locks, more beeps. Spoiler coming down while parked, beep. Could be anything.
