Well we got our Windrestrictor installed and working. Looks like it is a fine addition. We opted for the Brake Module as well and seems to be very cool including the 9 Volt switch. Between this and our lighted door guards I think we're getting there. Ron

What is this brake module you are talking about? Is this something new? Because I have been meaning to rewire mine to my brake lights, should I not do it this way?

YouTube - Red LED Windrestrictor

There's a video about it. Our latest feature is the 9V addition which enables you to keep it illuminated when the car is off.

Brake Light Module Option This option is a very nice option. It's a module that you can install in your console "waterfall compartment" or in your trunk on your rear panel. It has 2 ***** on it. After installed the first **** will control the Running light intensity to your product. You can use this **** as a dimmer **** to adjust the illumination while you are driving with your running lights on or headlights on. The other **** controls the brake light intensity to the product. You can adjust this **** if you want the product to illuminate when you apply pressure to your brakes.
With this option you can set the product for the following:
  • Restrictor can be set to come on only with the head lights,
  • Restrictor can be set to come on only with the brake lights,
  • Restrictor can be set to produce a certain illumination while driving (like a mid-intensity) and then produce a brighter glow when you apply pressure to your brakes when you stop. Kind of like a 3rd brake light option.
  • Also, this module will allow you to turn off product all together if you want. If you did not want it on for some reason, then you could turn both ***** down and then you'll just have the laser etching.
Finally, our new battery packs come with a built in battery pack (9V). So just flip the toggle switch and you can have the restrictor illuminate at the intensity you desire even when the car is off. (good for car shows). So this is a wonderful option that allows you to tap into your running lights and your brake lights simultaneously, and adjust each independently.

The brake module allows you to adjust the brightness of the leds with just parking or headlights on and also adjust it for how bright it goes when you step on the brakes. So you can ride at one brightness than when you hit the brakes it gets brighter while the brakes on. You can also shut off brake lightability or driving lightability. WOW New WORD LIGHTABILITY. COOL!

You could add the light up door guards. Maybe a new custom grill. Ron

We have made custom pieces to go in coupes before. We would need some photos of the trunk area and rear glass to tell if it would work.

Hey,

Those WINDRESTRICTORS look soooo good.......especially lit up....

Could anybody tell me if a original Merc SLK wind restrictor would fit a XFire as I bought one from EBay for £42.00 to try it out.....

If you are referring to a R170 SLK I would say, they are very close. But not exact so you would have to modify the glass a bit. We sell both versions.

Are there any plans to show WindRestrictors at Crossfires Across America? If I ordered one could you install it there?
