Default Hi to all...

I'll start by giving salutations to all...

I'm from small town Alberta and I just bought my dream car. A recent dream, but dream none the less. 2005, Dark Grey, Rag Top, Limited, 17000 Km (10600 Miles) for $17 500 cdn ($13 000 us) . Have been driving it since last week, the day I bought it was -35 celcius (in farenheit "Damn Cold") and the only thing I can say about the all season Contis on icy roads is "Whooho", pretty fun. I want to thanks most of the users on this forum for the usefull advice and tips that I have been reading here. Really its what convinced me to buy my Crossfire.

I have a few things I would like some advice on;

1. I have seen on ebay that most of the vehicles on sale there have a sticker that shows where the car was built, the manufacturer and the date fabricated. I can't find that sticker on mine, is it cause its a Canadian car?

2. When I turn my fogs lights on by pulling on the lights switch ***, there is a second pull position, what is it for? I can't see anything turning on when pulling past the fog light position.

3. In my manual I see a few things that require a special tool, that kinda looks like a bent screwdriver, used to manually lower the roof, or remove the front lower grills, etc. Where is that tool stored in the car?

4. In the truck floor there are 2 holes in the foam, on the left is the flat repair kit, what should be in the right one? Mine is empty.

5. Moparrbust, I want that hood...

6. Most importantly, I will trade my fully fuctional cup holder for the cubby, ship me one and I will ship you that stupid thing. It holds a cup alright, right where my elbow should be when I'm shifting, incredible that someone got away with that design, that guy should've been fired right there and then when he showed his boss that design, or at least demoted to coffee duty or something.

Thanks in advance

Hi ayayay

I'm sure there will be plenty of folk that will come back with answers to all your questions, but I only know the answer to #2, so will give you that for now. The first pull (on the UK version at least, I assume it's the same worldwide) turns on the front fogs, and the second pull turns on the rear fogs.

Not sure about anything else you ask, but I'm curious about #3 too, I've not needed the thing, nor looked for it, but I'm curious about where it might be.

James

Welcome aboard!

No rear fogs on North American models.

That tool should be in the pouch behind seats.

Welcome and Congrats. GDC is correct as far as question #4 that is the spot for first aid kit and emergency triangles that North American cars did not get.

Chrysler had to argue to have even that one little cupholder. The Germans didn't want to have any.

Reply from Vancouver BC Tool for the top is 187.00 from Chrysler, called Multi Function part # 5140795AA
I purchase my ROADSTER, NOT RAGTOP in California. For technicality your car should have VIN #1 for first number USA Built, BUT it was all made in Europe and seems some assembly in USA to get made in USA label. Maybe only body put on in USA. Could be # 2 I do not know what Canada code is but probably same situation.

Only difference in Canada impoted car was Daytime running lites on all the time and Front and Rear Bumpers we higher crash test rating from US and Europe. July 1 2007 all changed to harmonize with USA. was a 2000.00 retrofit Fortunatly I imported after and saved the cost.

Have fun and check out all past infos. One thing that will keep you happy in cold weather is the TWO dots on the bottom of the REST button the right one when pushed on after you stop the car to go for a quick in and out is a 15 min auto off to keep the heat or air cond running. Battery charge is important but I think the manual says it will nit work if battery is low.

Welcome to Crossfire owners in Canada we are very few.

That's awesome. I had no idea about that, and I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the UK manual (it's probably in there somewhere but not on page 98 at least).

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your car, I too have a Graphite roadster. At -35 I bet your glad that these cars have a great heater! between the heated seats and the heater - mine gets toasty in less than 4 minutes. But since I live in Virginia don't need that too often - BUT the A/C works equally as well which is even better! Enjoy your car - you'll get the top down soon!
