The center cap is just a rough prototype ijn trying to stick with the Chrysler theme. The black out is powder coat effort to make the spokes seem thinner. It gives a bit of a wire wheel look.

The wheels that come with the Base SE have these wheels with the dark powder coating in the spokes.

I love those wheels and would not mind a set on my roadster.

Like the idea of painting the back side of the wheel black ... should minimize problems with the appearance of brake dust.

Speaking of brakes, would a painted caliper be appropriate?

Is that center cap emblem black and white? It's hard to tell in the pics. But I'm not sure I'd go with a monochromatic hub in a car that's not silver or black.

The wheels are sharp! What diameters are they? They look larger than the 18/19's. Are the tires the Conti 2's?

Just a thought about tires: I just put on new Bridgestone Potenza Sports, but chubbied-up the sizes to 235/40R18 and 275/35R19. They have a nice look, but also seem to give the CF the smoother ride of a larger car over annoying road defects ... a little more sidewall flex for day-to-day driving.

Regards.

They are stock SRT6 wheels. The center cap is just a cut out from the stock center cap. I was looking for a sleeker appearance. I didn't realize some come with the blacked out side and inside. Was this only on the 2007 base ???

I think they were offered as an option for the red LTD Roadster as a special edition.

Z, the ones with the black powder coat between the spokes are the ones that come in the SE only. All SRT's have them all silver. I think they look great.
