Where to buy multipurpose tool
I have a question regarding the "all purpose" tool which was referenced in the manual as being in the glove compartment. I recently purchased a used 2007 Roadster from a dealer but I cannot find one or any other tool in the glove compartment or trunk. Would this tool be available at a local auto store or do I need to order it from dealer.
thanks
thanks

I purchased one from Chrysler, part # 5140795AA As with everything Mercedes its expensive 187.00
It is basically a 10mm Flat wrench 12inches long with a flat screwdriver end. Your manual tells how to use tools other than it.
If it had not been a prepaid order and I saw what ot was I would have not ordered one.

Brought my car home four weeks ago today, just now found mine in THAT VERY POCKET!

YOU GET CAUGHT OUT IN THE RAIN AND THE TOP DOWN AND NOT WORKING ,,YOU WILL WISH YOU HAD ONE HAPPENED TO ME AND IT SUCKS ! WRENCH HAS TO BE THIN TO GET BETWEEN THE PANELS TO THE NUT TO LOCK OR UNLOCK.... ALSO NEED A SMALL SET OF ALLEN WRENCHES TO UNLOCK THE BACK WINDOW.....SPEAKING FROM A BAD EXPERENCE>>>>> CHRYSLER DEALER HERE WHERE I'M AT HAS THEM FOR 145.00 .

If you can find a cheapo wrench of these sizes at a auto or bicycle shop you are in business. A 3/8" (.375") wrench could be filed easily to the correct size. Bicycles used to have wrenches like this in a tool kit.
Drivers of convertibles should have one for sure, anyone else can use a screwdriver for the auto transmission release and the front grille removal.

To unlock the selector lever manually, insert the end of
the multipurpose tool from the glove box (or ball point
pen) into the covered opening below the position “D” of
the shift pattern. While pushing the tool down, move the
selector lever out of the PARK position. After removal of
the tool from the opening, the cover will not close fully.
Only after moving the selector lever to the “D+” and
selector lever could remain locked in the PARK position.

I have read thru the owner's and navigation manual several times (kept both in my bathroom for almost a MONTH!!) and don't remember reading this.
I DID read about "limp home mode" or something like that, where if the controls fail you will have reverse and 2nd gear only, but didn't see this!

Where can I get a multi tool set......basically all the air tools but preferbly power ones? The whole nine of garage parts I would need to work on a car. I would like a whole kit and not piece parts here and there.

Bringing this back from the dead!
I was trying to remove my windshield wipers to clean out my clogged washer jets (failed, need a better puller), when I spotted something round under my windshield. I grab a screwdriver and after a few attempts, pry it out. Lo and behold, it's the multi-tool! Just goes to show they can be hidden anywhere, mine just happened to be sandwiched between the dashboard and windshield, looked all over for that damn thing too. Feels good to save $100+

MultiPurpopose tool can be bought at Chrysler, but is very expense, as it is made by MB
just use a screwdriver and flat wrench , but have in car always. See owner manual for instructions
