Default Drove the Roadster Today

Hey everyone. I know a lot of people are intersted in the roadster and when it will be released, and just wanted to let everyone know I drove it today at Chrysler's Art of Driving on their performance course. Granted, I prefer my coupe and hate convertibles, I drove two of them, including the new yellow with the white leather. I don't know if people have questions about it or how it compares to the coupe, but if you do, private message me or e-mail me and maybe I can help.

Does the spoiler look as goofy as it does in the pictures?

The spoiler was out on the most the cars and when deployed looked just like it does on the coupe. Sorry BeenCrossed, I don't have any pics. You should check out the chrysler website because i think they put a bunch of new info and pics on the roadster and see if the art of driving is coming to a town near you. The other intersting thing is the radio is slightly different because it has a navigation system. I talked to the woman about that. Plus the trunk is virtually nonexistent.

Man... wouldn't it be sweet if the roadster head unit is a 1:1 physical/electrical replacement for the coupe head unit, of course adding an antenna for the nav? Likely a LOT less costly than that $1500 Pioneer (though the AVIC is VERY nice).

David - it is identical, so I imagine it would be. You should ask the dealer or check the chrysler website maybe to see a picture.

So the spoiler on the convertable does retract when at slow speed and is not that big ugly thing we saw in earlier pictures???

Well, I don't know the ugly thing you saw in earlier pictures, but I believe is the same as on the coupe, retractable, in at low speeds, automatically deploys at high speeds, and if you really want, you can manually deploy it. For awhile, the yellow one had it out, but when I drove it a few minutes later, it was back in.

Greg:

Did you drive your Crossfire to the RoseBowl - so it was parked in the parking lot? Were there other Crossfires in the lot? If you drove yours, was it great to get into it in the parking lot and have others see that you already own one?
