Center Console LOCKED
As the title states, "Center Console Locked". Now here's the story:
I was sitting in my car and decided to lock it. I used my spare set that was sitting in the center console, locked the car and put the spare set back in the center console. I got out and shut the door and went in the house. About an hour later I decided get something out of my car. Well, the alarm goes off as the driver side door did not lock, but the alarm was set. I reached to the center console and it was locked. I ran to get a car to get my original keys to turn the alarm off. No problem, the alarm disengaged and all is quiet.
The next morning I get in the car, start it and drive off to work. On the way I decided to get something out of my center console. Well, son of a *****, it was locked. My initial thought was okay no problem I'll wait till I get to the office and lock and unlock the car. No luck. The center console is still locked.
I did a search on the forum and although there were two posts neither one gave me any help. Is there something I am missing? Is it because I used a different key to lock the car? (That key is locked in the center console now). I have a cup holder and I don't think I can pry that out to get to the locking mechanism. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Randy

Centre console? Isthat the glove box? If yes, just use the key to turn lock
Haha, did not know the centre console could be locked..reset with battery off for 20 min.

I am sure you are aware the it is a air controled vs. an electric sytem on most cars. The module is is in the trunk. BUT if everything else is working -- door locks, trunk lock etc. I would bet that an air line to the center console has worked lose. You might wanted to check out the repair manual and see how you get to that rascal. Just my thoughts on the issue.
PS I read the above responses after I wrote this so try the key and see if it works the lock on the console. That is a great idea and a much simplier fix. I need to remember that.

Each key fob can be programmed differently. There are 2 programming modes. One mode locks the doors, but not the center console on the roadster. The other mode locks the center console as well.
Therefore, I believe that your key fobs are programmed differently.
Try the following two things to unlock your center console:
1. When using the key fob you have, hit the open button twice instead of once.
2. Try using the central locking system button that is located on the dash...under the radio.
Good Luck....Ben
I don't know why, but I could see you going apeshit on your center console. Not just mad apeshit, but jumping up and down, straddling your center console and pulling as hard as you can until the whole thing rips off while you're roaring like a gorilla that's seen another gorilla screwing his gorilla wife.

Crossed my mind, really/ But it is my baby and I didn't want to hurt her. Anger management. lol
I will try the suggestion. The key the car was locked with is in the center console and was order from the dealer a year or more ago and stays in the CC/
