Low tire pressure light
Re: Low tire pressure light
Search engine will tell you more than you want to know.. they are sealed so there is no battery replacement. If you replace at a tire install MAKE SURE they can handle the job correct programming equipment etc. If they can pull the id code from your existing sensor and program a new sensor to it then you won't have to go pay the dealer. Only thing is I don't know if they can still get an ID from a dead sensor.

But, I had last checked and set the pressure in August. Seems odd that all 4 tires would all drop by the same amount.
NOTE TO SELF : Check pressure MONTHLY- these tires are too $$$$ to neglect, besides it is not safe to drive on under-inflated tires .
Here's another interesting tidbit : I also checked the other 3 vehicles :
2002 Chrysler Concorde Limited : all 4 down to 25
1989 Ford Probe LS : all 4 down to 20
1990 GMC Suburban : NO PROBLEM - all 4 still at 32 ( go figure )

I dumped a pressure gage a few weeks ago as the readings were erratic, so use a good gage.
I also noticed that too much hiss when checking the pressure, with an accurate gage, resulted in the loss of .5psi.
These cars are getting old and maybe the valve cores should have been replaced by now. Make sure the caps are on as dirt can enter next time the tires are filled and dirt or ice in the winter can get stuck in the valve, ice in the valve cost me a tire once.

Re: Low tire pressure light
180...
I installed new tirew pressure sensors... Does Chrysler need to recalibrate/reset...? A computer scan did not show any error codes and see nothing that can be reset...
Ideas...?
I've been using nitrogen and it is better than atmospheric compressed air. but only slightly as dramatic temperature changes can effect the sensitive sensors.
