Default Interior Help

Hey Guys & Gals,

I'd like your help! I'm going to be getting a Black roadster...and I can't decide between the dark slate/vanilla combo and the slate/medium gray combo. I've been driving a borrowed one with the slate/gray interior in it, and it's nice and seems like it wouldn't show anything that happened to land on the interior too painfully. But I really like (only seen it online) the look of the vanilla/slate. The only thing I'm really worried about is how dirty it gets, especially the steering wheel. I'm very conscious about washing my hands and keeping sanitizer in the car...but I worry if it'll look bad pretty easy, or if heaven forbid a bird leaves something behind on the white interior (not that I'd park it under a tree w/the top down, but you never know!).

Sorry to ramble...what do you think??? I think I'm ordering it on Monday. All input is appreciated! I can't wait to get it!

I think the vanilla will show any marks, but it is your choice. I remember a topic a while ago showing where some of the colour rubs off, but I can't locate it with search. Maybe one of the other guys or girls knows where it is.

If you can keep it clean and you like the Vanilla then go with it. I used to have a Merc CLK some years ago with a light grey (Orion I think they called it) leather. I found that wearing black jeans in the car caused the seats to discolour. It cleaned off easy enough but after time I'm not sure what would happen, I only had the car a year. I prefer the darker colour.

Mopar: What about the Cedar interior? I have a black roadster with this interior and love it! I get a lot of comments on this color and have yet to find someone who doesn't like it. Check it out if you have not seen this combo.

I have a Sebring Convertible with cream interior and it's really not that bad. If you drive it a lot or let it sit in the garage with the top down it will get dirty but I use a good leather cleaner and it cleans and conditions it nicely. I always prefer more interesting color combinations so if I had the choice I'd always go for two-tone. But Indyxfire has a good point. That cedar interior is even hotter than the vanilla and it's better in hiding dirt. Actually I wanted that interior badly but nobody had it available when I got my cf.

Hey guys, thanks for all of the feedback so far! I have seen pics of the cedar interior and although it is pretty hot, it's not really for me. I really like the contrast of the vanilla and the slate.
I actually worry more about the fact that the steering wheel being so light and all of the oils in our hands getting it dirty and discolored. I have however always been obssesive about my cars though, so its not like I can't clean it everytime I wash it, which would probably be once a week anyways! :-)

Check out my album, I have the vanilla/med. slate ( Light Quartz/Med quartz ) interior. I am also a fanatic when it comes to the cleanliness of my Xfire Roadster. Not really that hard to keep clean as long as you are careful. As for the steering wheel...I found a two tone steering wheel cover that matches the interior, purchased it at a local Aid Auto Store. I had the same reservations about the steering wheel.

Choose what makes you happy, either way its still a Crossfire Roadster, Either choice will be stunning. 8)

Actually I did go through your album earlier today and I loved all of the pics. It really helped since I was trying to imagine those colors with the in black! Thanks! :-) it really is very attractive imo. ;-)

I also have the cedar interior. I think this combo makes the car look richer. Everyone loves it.

Thanks for all of the feedback guys!
I was seriously considering the Vanilla, but after spending the last week in the 2 tone gray, I might end up going with that. I'm pretty nervous about the white and how much maintenance it may be, especially with the steering wheel. I think it looks so hot, but the gray just seems much more low maintenance.
Turns out we're ordering it this Friday; so I'll let you know for sure what I end up with!
