Re: Need hydraulic pump for my 2006?
So he has the STAR tool to see the communications? He has verified the top open and divider switches are closed?
He has verified the "Trunk Closed" indication is there and the lock signal from the electric trunk lock is there?
He has verified that the BCM has indicated a speed of less than 9mph to the TCM via the "good to go" message?
THESE are the "signals to work", these and the closed indication from the switch are what it takes to make the TCM command the pump to start.
And does he mean the PUMP is bad or the Top Control Module (TCM) is bad?
I doubt this. I really do. But if he HAS done all the above, we need his name and phone number, cause we will have a LOT of people local to you who should be taking their cars to this guy.
I'm not being sarcastic, if he's that good, we are gonna keep him BUSY.

The guy works for the local Mercedes dealer and is used by other dealers to solve problems on foreign cars. This is my first dealings with him but was highly recommended by a buddy with a Z4. He said he checked all switches and a signal is going to pump but pump isn't working.

I'm not convinced but all you can do now is find a used (or even new) part.
Klaus may have a reconditioned one he could sell:
https://www.tophydraulics.com/
(Post 3 mentions this company, but the way he typed that, it may not have been clear to someone not familiar with Klaus and company.)

Pizza Guy.
My mechanic has been on vacation and I took my car to him Friday the 30th. He called my Saturday and the the top works perfectly. Sorry it took so long to answer but he was gone and had to get back on his schedule. He says he has all equipment to work on Crossfires and would never charge anyone he couldn't fix. Very satisfied.
Thanks, Chet , Newbie 2
