Help Roof not opening
Hi
I was not able to open my roof of my 2005 roadster (hydraulic level OK, still pressure, difficult to try to open manually)
After Chrysler diagnostic they informed me the REAR BOW SOLENOID SHORTED TO GROUND but parts are discontinued !!!! (I know, never take to dealer but no choice in southern Maryland)
Can anyone help for part ???
Can it be repaired ??
Any assistance would be apricated
Cheers Andy

Just call Klaus.
"...the REAR BOW SOLENOID SHORTED TO GROUND..."
The 'tech' got to that conclusion from following the stupid-assed procedure from the service manual; in fact, that phrase is right out of the manual. The manual was written by the engineers who designed the system, not by anyone who troubleshoots such systems for a living. IOW: The conclusion drawn is highly suspect.
The answer you got from the dealer means nothing, stop trying to make decisions based on what a dealer said.
(Sure, they may be right, the guy who looked at it might know what he is doing - but I have as much chance of sleeping with Avril Lavigne as a dealer 'tech' correctly diagnosing the top system of a Crossfire.)
I trust Klaus.
