I am looking to purchase a 2005 roadster that may be in need of a new top....any info of potential cost expectations and is the Chrysler TSB on replacing these still in effect?....appreciate any info...thanks👍

 

Yea, sure, call your local Chrysler dealer and tell them you want a free new top for your fifteen year old Crossfire. But, LET ME LISTEN IN TO THAT CALL!
I got a new top from BAS in the UK, delivered to Texas for around $710. Them some guys put it on for me in a condo parking lot at the "Crossfire fun in the Ozarks" meet a month ago........



You can do it yourself, I watched these guys replace it and frankly, I'd not be afraid to do it myself next time.

 

Thank you sir....already made the call and got a huh? What?...😂😂😂....I might very well attempt it myself...just out of curiosity how did he marry the back window to the new top?....that would seem to be the hardest part to me

I had the blue one fitted in early 2018, came from BAS in England, I found a local classic car restorer to fit it, so all together the cost $2000

 

for anyone in the Florida area, I do EZ on Tops for $1350 installed with new stay pads. Lifetime for the rear window and 3 year on the entire top when installed by a certified installer.

 

$2000? Damn, dealers charge $1800-2300 and we all know they are ripping us off - that's why we avoid them.

I'd not have the GUTS to charge someone that much for a job that takes less than two hours.

 

cost on the top at a dealer without labor is $2250. that comes with no hardware as well. after stay pads and labor it's around $2900 installed.
