Default Inoperable Top in Minnesota

I just picked up my 05 Roadster with a top that the previous owner bought non-working and I knew it-so no surprises. I picked it up reasonably because of this, but despite all the helpful info. out there, I'm going to let an independent shop look at it.

Anyone in MN with a Roadster that could recommend a shop to fix these? Before I even bought this, I found out my local Chrysler doesn't want to touch it, and the Benz dealer is more than happy to do the the pricy maintenance services but wants little else to do with it.

Thanks.

When you unlatch the top does anything happen? Have you checked the fluid level in the pump reservoir?

Just why do you think we've gone to such measures to post SO MUCH information on fixing issues with the top?
Its because there is no factory support for this car anymore, hasn't been in over ten years.

MOST top issues are not all that hard to fix, PROVIDED you have the information contained on this forum.
Perhaps the worst, common issue is when the CLP/SSM gets wet - in those cases, you must replace the CLP/SSM as well as the last 1-2 feet of the wiring harness going to it. MOST of the time, it's not all that involved, altho I know of one top that three of us have spent hours on - we all gave up, sadly.
