Had my top replaced on 2006 roadster. I fine the top not as tight as old. Kind of wobbly.

Any thought would be helpful !!

What brand top? Did you ask the shop why it isn't taut?

I did one of my own. It fit very tight. It was a BAS top. About $700.00. That is the one most use.

 

You probably got a top from a manufacturer that does not hold to tight tolerances. BAS tops are only about $700 and they fit EXACTLY. Back in 2020, the guys replaced mine in a condo parking lot during the Eureka Springs meet (I think I bought them breakfast for the favor) in just over an hour, we then headed for breakfast. I think I know what make your top is, no surprise it does not fit. Since I do not know for sure, I will zip my lip.

You have been a member here since 2012, with only NINE posts in all that time? Why didnt you just ask us first? That is why we are here, to support one another. Ask first, next time something is going on with the car, you will get EVERYONE's opinion and you can benefit from other's (good and bad) experiences.
