2007 Crossfire Special Edition in Tampa, FL
There is a low mileage 2007 Crossfire Special Edition Roadster listed on eBay that bidding has increase to nearly $22k! Car is nice, but it ain't that nice! And the car needs a new top if you look at the pictures real close. 35 Bids - All from the Same Bidder!! Something 'fishy" about this auction!

Most likely the seller trying to “pad” the price. I doubt it’s a natural auction as much as I wish our cars go for that kind of money. There has been a slight uptick in certain models I have noticed but for the SE with cloth seats I doubt that’s accurate. But nice looking car none the less.

BUT, the cloth seats in the Base/SEs are superior to the horrible seats in the Limited:
1) Limited seats are hard, you sit "on" them, not "in" them.
2) Limited seats sit too high for anyone who is over about 5'10" unless their inseam is over about 36 inches.
3) Limited seats are ugly compared to the base cloth seats.
4) If you need more 'lumbar' comfort, the base seats will make you happy. I had to use a pillow in both limiteds to avoid back pain. I threw the pillow out after I got the SE.
Now, base cloth can be harder to keep clean if you are one of these missguided soles who thinks eating and drinking while sitting in the car is acceptable.
I just clicked the link, Dedwards: The car is very impressive cosmetically, but the person who did the detail is a dweeb - spraying the engine compartment with "Armor All" or whatever they used (might be WD-40), was asinine.
I still think the bids are a scam.....

The bids are obviously a scam.

No heated seat function, no fog lights as well as the black surround and black inserts aren’t my cup of tea. I always wondered why there was a “base” model with similar features, downgraded sounds system, black door handles etc.
It’s like a hybrid between the Base models and the Limited. But the base model was already a bad idea in my opinion as Daimler simply hammered out a “thrift shop” version of their halo car at a lower premium, thinking that was going to increase the sales numbers. At the time Base models came to market, there was already a good amount of Limiteds on Overstock and floating around for cheaper or the same price as the base.
The cloth seats just don’t look right to me in that car. They look cheaper than the seats in my Dodge Caravan. They probably are comfortable, but I just don’t find them suitable for this kind of car. If I want comfortable as can be, I’d probably opt for something more practical than a two seater with a small cabin and a relatively stiff suspension.
But I know, I sound like I’m bashing the SE. And I’m really not, it’s just different tastes. I actually like the silver windshield surround and I know a lot of people did not and even painted it. What I really like about the SE is the wheels and the color. If I recall correctly the SRT wheels were painted grey on the inside which is a nice touch and at that point would go well with the dark windshield surround.
In either event, still an awesome car non the less.
Of course they didn't pull it off. Was the same fake bidder from start to end not a single other person. Car will be listed again most likely. But definitely didn't sell!
