Working to restore powered convertible top operations, I have learned a couple of things today.
The first is the microswitch is a Normally Closed switch design. It closes as you push up on the front of the top after releasing it from the windshield header.
The second thing offends my Spidey Senses(engineering for ease of repair). The Top Open Switch body is molded to the plastic bracket that holds the switch and it's activation sliding cam.

The older these cars get, the more expensive the parts are.
Shop around as much as you can before paying for anything. You can also put a "wanted" in the Market Place section.
