2004 L-H Cargo compartment divider switch with mounting
Hi all,
I am in Cairns Australia and struggling to find any Crossfire part in Australia
Would anyone have or know where to get L-H Cargo compartment divider switch with mounting Part No A1936900114
My second question is would a Mercedes part from the SLK R170 series be suitable replacement .
Thanks all

Here in the USA we have been bypassing that switch for at least ten years now. There are no new parts available and most used parts from "junk cars" are also defective.
There was an individual that was "3D printing" an alternative plastic assembly that I think used a replacement switch, but that was some time ago.
Bypassing the divider switch means you must be sure the divider is up or the area in the trunk is clear before lowing the top, I would not bypass ANY other switch, just that one.

You may be able to fix a cracked bracket using a epoxy type glue such as JB Weld and some thin metal reinforcement strips, this member makes a replacement a bracket for micro-switch : https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/market/86247

I posted this some time ago. If you are a bit handy this might be helpful.

Looking at Hindin's excellent post, I have a couple of questions.
I believe that the broken piece puts tension on the divider rod to hold it against the switch. This keeps the switch closed so the car knows the divider is in place.
My first question is; As a temporary fix, could a rubber band or small bungee cord be wrapped around the rod and the bracket to keep it in place?
My second question is; Would it be possible to put the divider in place, then mark where the rod lines up with the switch and mark it. Then measure the distance between the divider rod and the switch and glue or tape a slightly larger piece of plastic or wood on it to activate the switch. Like the expression "A bump on a log"?
Just a couple of thoughts.

Hi dcskmail,
Yes you are right especially with nothing to replace the broken piece
I have had to rebuild tabs just as you suggest after removing the Skreem box due to loss of chips on both keys
Thanks Appreciated

Hi M60A3Driver
All great suggestions and it is appreciated
I believe that I may be able to recover & repair the unit with lots of epoxy
After removing moulding I did find old rubber bands in the cavity suggesting that the previous own had completed one of your suggestions
Thanks again
