Just went to get an oil change on the srt 6. I made sure to tell them 8.5 quarts only and I believe they did drain the oil and put in only 8.5 as they showed me the last half filled quart. But it still reads High on the car computer. Is this common? Is the computer just not that accurate?

I only put 8 qts. in, and never have had that problem.

 

If I put 8 1/2 in I get the "HI" msg as well. I have started only putting in 8 qts and that shows full on the dipstick and the dash readout shows "OK".

 

I too put 8.5 qts in and the dipstick read high. My dash display doesn't register for me. According to the manual my sensor isn't working properly. I need to take that in.
