Agreed 1000000%. I love my whale tale. Flows with the body lines perfectly. Without the spoiler, I think the back end is missing something. Just slopes off to the ground.

probably have to wire the switch direct and use it manually

ask one of the tuning company if they can mod that when you get a tune for your car

Use the button is the one, the other is how get a speed signal from CAN BUS and move the wing in top position and back.

Although the wing may have its functionality even though some dont like the way it looks, you need to look at it a different way. My personel thoughts of the wing is that of a badge of honor, a flag to regular Crossfire (non SRT 6) owners and other racers that do know what its attached to. That this car has won its big wing by being the "Bad Boy" of the Crossfires. I guess you could say it has 349 reasons to wear this ugly thing some think. I myself am very proud of it. Besides, gives other cars something to look at as your passing them vedy vedy fast! Those who own the big wing, stand tall and remember, you own one fast little unique vehicle most other people dont even know what their tangling with , but will remember and say later after they get beat "Dont know what it was but it had this huge tail on it!" ;-)

I seem to remember reading on here that someone replaced the SRT hatch with a Limited hatch and just replaced the body control module to get the wing to work. Good luck, I don't like the SRT wing either.

I haven't taken delivery of my SRT-6 yet, but I am a little unsure on the wing. If it were as simple as swapping out the trunk lid and getting a module out of a non-srt that would have an impact on my decision whether to try to buy my wrecked crossfire from the adjuster.

If someone knows anything about this working, I am very anxious and under a bit of a time constraint to hear about it!

I see no reason why this would not work. If someone on here knows otherwise please advise! As far as having to buy your old Crossfire, I'm sure someone on here with a base or a limited would be willing to swap!

I have removed the srt6-Wings from my srt6 roadster and my srt6 coupe.

I it not as easy as described.

You need new cable, a new body control modul, someone who is able program the new BCM for your car, a lot of different Mercedes Benz plugs and a complete retractable spoiler from a 218 Hp-base model.

You have to take the whole car to pieces.

Main Problems:

- programming new BCM
(you have one attempt and a lot of Chrysler employees without a clue)
- finding out the Mercedes Benz partnumbers for the cable plugs
(german word: Steckverbinder)
- you will need many additional small parts (for examble water hoses)
- a switch for spoiler

Good luck. It will work !

Regarding whether or not to have a spoiler, the audi TT or the nissan Z, can't recall off the top of my head, at one point removed the spoiler from its design, and started to have traction control issues at speeds over 100mph, thus it was re-introduced in the next generation. I know that this is a different car, but I can't see it creating huge issues going the speed limit. just my two cents.

Isn't there a thread on here about removing the spoiler to get rid of rust issues that can occur underneath it?
Regards. Steve

i have to agree about the srt, for some reason the spoiler and those ugly rims make the whole car look like something some teenager screw-up. Thinking about buying a xf, don't care about hp (i'm over the age of 18) even though i am driving a 350z roaster, i drove both cars, the base was a bit slower but i just love the curves and that auto spoiler when down gives it a stealth look just like the g35, 350z and porsche wich make it unique almost european but the srt just look like...crap. they should have kept the auto spoiler for the srt. so on topic, a good way to remove that wing is to just get a big sledge hammer and start banging

That is the same method I used to convert my 350Z into a B-210 pickup

When I started hammering on the 350Z, I got a little carried away

It is now a pickup

EXACTLY. I love the SRT wing. Its perfect looking IMO. Way better than the no wing/flip up itty bitty dinner tray that they call a spoiler.
