My wheels are Stern Hyper Mesh II with 9.5 on the rear & 8.5 on front. The tire's are Michelin pilot sport PS2's 285/35/19 on rear & 245/35/18 on front.

Nice wheels. Does the slotted covers on the lower vents affect cooling at all?

Does anyone what is the widest rim and tire you can fit on the SRT?

Can you post a picture of your G-tech setup? I just bought one and am curious on where you put it. Thanks.

I will try this evening after work, the wife don't like me messing with her camera & hooking it to her computer. I wanted to connect my GTECH up last night to post a couple runs and she said not till she looks at it, of course she was too busy. She paid for the computer & camera so they are considered hers, I don't like her messing with my stuff either that she don't know that much about. But I mounted the suction cup right between the speedo & tac, looks good there, but you have to telescope your steering wheel out or it hits it.

1/8th mile was 8.263 @ 88.70
1/4 mile was 12.709 @ 111.69
I was expecting a little better, around a 12.3 to 12.5 @ 115 to 118. but after I got home and did a little reading in the manual, I found this :
In a 13-second 1/4 mile car, the first 12" can take almost four tenths of a second, and at the end of the 12", the vehicle is already moving at about 4 MPH! This means the clock doesn’t start until the vehicle has been moving for 0.4 seconds and has gone 12”. So the way I understand this statement, if I had a almost perfect reaction time in the 1/4, I would have came up with around
a 12.309 @ 115.69.

I have been wanting to get the Renntech set-up for awhile but I am very mechanically impaired (there are no dealers in my area) so I think when I finally get enough spare cash I will do it... the way you make it sound makes me want one. But I will have to wait till next summer though as I do not drive my baby in the winter, now I just got to find a dealer where they will install it for me, hopefully not too far either.

The friend that has the stock SRT6 I drove Sunday wants me to do the install when he buy's his kit (probably this winter). I emailed the Renntech guy that I had bought mine from to ask what they charge to do an install, he said they usually charged $120 an hour for 3.5 to 4 hours labor. So it would cost you between $420 to $480 for an install.

Not to mention on a track the pavement is alot more sticky and prepped for this type of driving. 12.7 on the street is awesome and expect to drop several tenths at the track.

Steve - So what all did you get for $3,000? Did you do the install and have them tune the ECU or did you do that yourself? I am going to do this first thing after winter is over.

You receive a crank, water pump and idler pulley. You pull your ECU, fill out some paper work they send you and send them the paper work with the ECU. They remap the ECU and send it back to you, my ECU was tuned for 93 octane witch is not available in some places, but I usually run 94 octane from Sunoco. I done all the work on the install. Oh and you also get some nice Renntech badges.

Steve,

Sounds like the Gtech works pretty well!

I'd be proud of those numbers on the street...you've got a quick car.

I'm anxious to see mount pics.
I'm also anxious to see/hear of anyone who installs the ASP/LET pulleys and see how they compare.

I've got to get another power cord for my GTECH, because I threaded mine under the console, up through the driverside dash and comes out just above the steering wheel. As soon as I come up with one I'm going to try to get together with the guy that has the stock SRT6 I drove Sunday and do a few run's and see just how much difference there really is.

Have you considered pillar gauges? I know it may SEEM a bit ricey, and I'll probably get flamed for suggesting it, but if it's done right it actually looks really nice and intimidating. I get props for mine even from veteran fabricators.

Steve,
Those numbers are looking pretty good and i can't wait till you get it to the track, but your reaction time on the track has no effect on elapse time.

I didn't want it up in the windshield with a wire dangling down the dash so I found mounting it this way nice and tidy. Also when you want to unplug it from the lighter port you have a nice place to put the end of the cord.

Thanks, I thought I'd post up a few pic's of the GTECH meter with the run, check out the 0 to 60 = 4.3 seconds.

With a 60 foot time of 1.8-1.9 you'll knock a few tenths off that time. Your trap speed is definitely capable of lower 12's.

YIKES! 3 grand for some pulleys, an ECU map, and some badges? I can buy a complete supercharger kit for my chevelle for that!

ASP Pulleys are the exact same thing, LET will give a few more PSI as they are somewhat bigger...

LET is probably around 20 PSI.
While ASP, Renntech and Evosport are 17.5-18.5

As far as I know...

I was thinking that Renntech told me between 20 to 21 @ max RPM and crank HP at the very least of 385 and could go up to 395 depending on the car and octane of the fuel.
