This mod sounds like it will make for some big power gains!
we have seen up to 17.8psi with the asp 178mm pulley, cai and intake manifolds

Help me out here, I know on a N/A car a 400cfm increase (even on a V8) is a massve increase, what are the ramifications of the 400cfm increase for our friendly supercharged AMG engines ?

I've done a fiar bit of V8 engine building in the past with N/A engines, but I need to find my book on supercharging to bone up on the kompressor world
200cfm increase per side. so a possible 400cfm increase, i dont think we will max out this manifold thought, at least not with the stock blower

Rob how will these manifolds work out with those of us that have the code 3 s/c pulley ? also those who are running the code 3 together with a 178mm ? thanks for your input. ILLCYA

they should compliment each other. we have yet to see stacked pulleys, i imagine a alchohol injection setup would be in order at that point.

You should come down to MIR on OCT 12 and run your beast with us.

So when do the modified superchargers come out to compliment the new intakes? I can see this spiraling out of control. And I love caos.

That sounds like fun. I haven't run it since I added the Code3 parts and LET tune.

I've been waiting for this too. Someone needs to adapt a Whipple or Kenny Bell to this engine. It would have to involve a good machine shop, but I think it would just be a matter of adapting the SC clutch (or modifying the software to work without it), and machining some new "ears" to be welded onto the sides of the new SC for bolt on replacement and to retain proper function of the intake plenums. The only other issues would probably just be an adapter plate for the throttle body, an adapter plate for the intercooler, and incorporating the bypass valve of the Whipple or K.B. Did I say "ONLY"? I think the gains would be pretty awesome, though.

The stock supercharger is actually pretty damn good. Maybe one of the vendors could partner up with the boys at Whipple to engineer new rotors for our superchargers to improve efficiency.

Ive thought about a bigger/better blower too. I already have intake manifolds. Once my headers and exhaust are done the only other thing i can think of is cams. Then maybe it will be time to upgrade the s/c.

Thing is...at what point is our s/c no longer effecient? No one really knows and even if i had a compressor map i dont know how to read it, and im not afraid to admit it.

It might be easier and alot cheeper to go with different ratio rocker arms, before doing cams.
