Default Performance air filter...

Does it make sense to replace the air filter in the srt-6?

I doubt I would be installing intake and exhaust, atleast not anytime soon.

Sure it does. Just use a K&N or some other reuseable air filter. Better breathing more air etc.

If you just want to replace your existing filters, than use the K&N or Green Filters for a few more ponies. If you want to remove all the restriction, you can go cold air intake spending anywhere from doing it your own for around $100 all the way up to around $500 for great custom ones from several resources on here. Good luck!
