Default Broken Grill - Silver Edge

One of the silver bars on my OEM grill has cracked and separated from the main gray piece on one side. It doesn't appear that anything has hit the grill, so I'm assuming it's a stress fracture made easy by all the sun damage from sitting outside for two years before sale. I can press it back in place, and it looks fine, so I would prefer to fix it if I'm able. That's where I need your advice. What should I use, super glue, etc.? I did search the forum for a related topic and found nothing, and I know this issue is not specific to the SRT, but I love my baby soooo much that this seemed more appropriate. I think it's a stress fracture because I didn't notice it until I was inspecting my detail work afterwards. Thus I had washed that piece twice and waxed the whole car without seeing the issue. I think it just happened while sitting there. By the way, for you detail freaks, I used ramps and a creeper to wash and wax the insides of the wheels. LOL. Thanks for all your help. I appreciate everyone here a great deal.

Super glue might work. You can also opt to get some chrome (plastic) thin, bodyside molding and replace all of your strips with them. I did this and it sets off the grille nicelly. It will match the Chrysler wing above the grille and the chrome around the headlights. Very low cost mod.

How did this turn out? I'd try the superglue thing myself. I believe Wurth also makes a spray can with "german silver" as a color, which may match the color of our accents.

I think I would try a two part epoxy. Put a little in the break and then build up some on the back side to give it a little more strength. Make sure you clean the parts good first and wipe off any excess on the front.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going with the two part epoxy; I picked up some yesterday at Pep Boys, but I've yet to attempt the fix. I'm also looking into buying another forum member's silver bars he removed from his grill to modify the OEM one. I doubt that these can be purchased seperately from the complete grill assembly because manufacturers have cut costs significantly by ceasing the piecemeal of parts. Thanks again. I'll let you know how it turns out.
