The weather looks good for sunday at MIR but it calls for 70% chance of snow sunday night back home. I may not get to go if that is the case. I would never make it over the mountain with summer only tires in the snow.

 

Well, I'm going to be in the area this weekend. I'm going to have to bail on the Track Rental. I really don't have the $$$ to spare and a whole day at the track will finish my rear tires. I'd like my tires to last through winter if possible. I just can't swing it. I may swing in for 2-3 runs on Sunday if the weather is good. I would at least like to see what it puts down with this new tune.

 

The weather guessers are making Sunday look like the only posiblity. If the weather is slower to move across the country then predicted, the whole weekend could be rained out.

 

I am going sunday (it looks like the mbworld.org guys are being really wishy washy about saturday so fk that day). My trip all depends on what is going on sunday night, as of right now there is a 70% chance of snow showers on my way home so I do not want to end up tearing my car up by wrecking in a snow storm.

I really hope the weather changes, I have been looking forward to this for a while.

The track rental was canceled for Saturday but there is a test and tune on Sunday.


It does not look good for me because it is supposed to snow up here Saturday through Sunday. Our high up here this weekend is 33 degrees.

 

My car is packed and ready for the 2 hour drive to MIR. I guess the weather in the morning will tell me to make the trip or not. Anyone else still planning to go?

 

i can not go, we have snow starting tonight all the way through next friday

i am going to try and go the last weekend of this month but who knows what the weather will be by then. i would say it will be worse. that really sucks, i was hoping to run a 12.1 or less.

 

I'm bowing out of this weekend. I was supposed to be up there for the whole weekend, but peple got sick and the weather is crap, so I'm not going. I'll try again another weekend.

 

I'll be there Sunday, from about 10am till 3pm. Supposed to be a nice day.Come on up!

 

i hope i can make it down in a few weeks if the weather allows, i really hate missing tomorrow. i bet you run some great times tomorrow in the cool weather!

 

Be glad you guys didn't come up, poor track conditions and there was a 275 radial class going on with the test and tune, and the gamblers race. I entered the gamblers race, won three rounds then developed a coolant leak. The track was so bad they made the race only to the 1/8th mile marker. I ran three consistent 7.60 @ 93 mph. I smelled something on the last run and saw coolant dripping out of the overflow tube. I haven't investigated yet, but fans were working-no leaks-temp gauge good-dripping from the overflow tube,I did lose heater for a minute???Air pocket, then burp??? Anyway put her on the trailer and went home before fourth round. ( p.s. no nitrous used today)

 

was the track just slick because of the wet weather?

I hope you get your leak sorted out, it still sounds like you had more fun than i did. i just sat around all day watching tv lol.

 

I think it was just the low temp, (around 47) and the high winds made it hard to treat with the vht (it was just blowing away in the air as they sprayed it but it does give off a nice smell, kinda like febreeze lol )and yeah it still beats a day on the couch imo. Only two more weeks and the track shuts down for the year, + the car is my sons now, so I am just trying to have a little fun with it before winter then I continue the work on my camaro.
