Default Upcoming Mods?

So what do you guys plan on doing next to your 6? Here is mine, in order of importance.......

1. Tires!!! I'm in desperate need of new meats. Probably going to go with the V's

2. Exhaust (It's been sitting in the garage too long!! Waiting on a friend to do it)

3. Brandon's PCV solution......When I removed my NW Intake mani's there was a ton of oil around the Y pipe and actually some on the gaskets themselves. I know this can't be a good thing.

4+5 will kinda go together......

4. SC pulley along with a LET re-tune. I also might need larger injectors at this point......In my opinion, the 178 + the SC pulley will compliment these NW Intake mani's quite nicely. I saw about 2.5 to 3 psi decrease from adding the NW mani's so by adding the SC pulley, we would not be maxing out the map sensor as Eleventeen did.

5. AIS stage 2 water/meth system along with another LET re-tune. With the added heat, ya gotta do something to keep those IAT's down! Also by running the meth system, you wouldn't be loosing much in the heat of the summer!

6. Pray my shyt doesn't go KABOOM!

just the meth alone will make a huge difference. I have been trying to tell everyone since I joined the site to add that to their list.

I ordered my meth kit a few days ago, I am going to stop with that to see how it goes then I may do more later. If it shows up tomorrow I may say fk it and install it over the weekend.

Has everyone with these manifolds seen a decrease in boost levels?

I am fortunate enough to have a friend that owns a dynojet dyno so that makes it really nice to see how each mod changes my car.

It is a easy install, I am going to start out with a 3gph nozzle and spray 74%water/26% meth for daily driving and then I will run my special mix when at the track.

If the stock washer tank is not a bltch to get to I do not expect it to take any longer than 2 hours max to install the kit.

I can only answer you from my experience. I was running 19.5-20lbs at the top of 3rd gear. Now im seeing around 17.5-18lbs. I would assume the reason for this is the added volume of the mani's.

you flow more air so you make the same or more power on less boost. it makes it more efficient so less boost does not mean less power. you have more airflow with less heat because of the lower restriction and that is a good thing. more boost with more heat from more restrictions=less power.

Hey Photoman, just to be a picky PITA, 74% + 36% = 110%. I think you need a bigger tank.....

Howd you like the tune Jerry put on your car? He said it was a slightly modified version of my dyno tune.
