i will be working on adding power to the car to help with the lack of top end power, the only thing that makes this car run so well is the gearing in first and second, so hitting a quicker 60' will get quicker 1/4 mile time thus improving your quartermile time. mmm
oh and i own a high 9 low 10 sec(depending on boost setting) street car and at the top the srt leaves much to be desired, you should ride in one sometime maybe give you the itch to go faster not try to run the exact same every lap

I would love to see a fully modded SRT6 go from 12.00 to 11.60 just with a converter. I'll be the first one to congratulate and pat you on the back. If j-fire's car is what your experimenting on then get the pulley and tune set a baseline and then publish the results. Any single mod pulley, CAI, tune by itself can deliver .40 off the 1/4 mile from a stock car. Most everyone that would be interested is already at low 12.0's wanting your help to get deep into the 11's. IMO if it's a tenth off the very end result it's still worth it. That may get someone into the 11's.
This is not a typical Chrysler, you will need to develop TCU software to fully take advantage of the tranny. Again another item on the want list.

And for the record, although I don't bracket race my 6 EVERY week like Cruzin does, I do bracket race it when im just having a fun night out at a gamblers race etc.... When im serious for points races I hop in the Cuda or Malibu and tear it up.
FYI, bracket racing takes a high level of skill to be successful. Heads up racing takes a whole lot of money in the end.
BRACKET RACING FOREVER!!!!!
i'm glad it makes you happy good luck, but i'm in the racing industry and 12's are for cars i buy for my wife not sponsored "drag" cars that aren't even street driven. and you were the one saying it pulls like a 10 sec. car on the top, you were talking smack
thats not the point of this post if you want to have verbal games go to a diffenet thread, this is for people to tell me what products that are not avalible for your cars that you would like to see produced. thats all, you can argue with the people that want/buy them why a stock anything is better because your preaching to the chior talking that to me, this is what i do for a living.

Cruzin is a long standing member of this forum, has more drag racing skills and more 1/4 mile runs then just about any other member on this forum. He's always honest about his mods and is always willing to share his results.
I look forward to any new products you develop for our cars - especially performance mods....

That's your business, but when you ask for $600 from each person for a product comes responsibilities. As a new company seeking business on this forum with no references from the crossfire community (jfire no offense just joined in Aug. 08), your business becomes your clients business. If your in jail it would be difficult to deliver product, hypothectically of course.
I'm not here to measure the size of your ****. I'm not picking on your company either.
On how fast you can go; 5 seconds then I say yes your on par with the big boys. 8 seconds and slower your just another driver like the rest of us whether its you driving or your wife.
I did the same to LET, TVT, NW and Code3 when they first came with product. I ask for proof of results i.e. video, timeslips, etc.. dyno's are nice but with video of the pull.
Don't sell until the r&d has been thoroughly exhausted. Possibly 6 mos of wear and tear, 100 1/4 mile passes, baseline and guaranteed results. That's not asking too much for a product that requires the transmission to be removed.
My nod to NW is because he tested his products thoroughly before releasing them publicly. Some a little too late, but none never early. He has one of the best reps here and a partnership would have opened your door easier because he has earned the respect of the forum...
You started on the wrong foot. This was your introduction
"Again I own a performance/fabrication shop and have a customer with an 05 srt and has fallen a little short on finding an aftermarket parts supplier for the crossfire. I am posting a question/pole to you the owner, on what aftermarket performance parts you would like to see developed. Both in terms of increasing your power as well as traction/handling upgrades. I believe in reasonably priced, quality components everyone can enjoy, not just the above average wealthy people, which seems to dominate this market with very high priced stall converters, cold air intakes, coil over kits, etc."
Now I'm paraphrasing for you here. This is how it should of been done.
Hello my name is Thomas Calvert. I am the proud owner of Illinois Dyno Center since 2001. I specialize in auto, motorcycle, and diesel repair and performance. I do not have any complaints with the Better Business Bureau and run a very responsible and reputable business. A client brought to my attention a niche market for the SRT6. As an avid performance junkie willing to help all those who want to go faster, I decided to share my vast knowledge and help find those undeveloped parts. If anyone is near Port Byron please feel free to stop by. My address is 1010 N. High St. Port Byron, IL 61275 or call me 309-523-9200. Feel free to share your wish list and I'll see if I can make them come true.
Now that would have been a better 1st post.
On to talking smack about pulling hard like a 10 second car. Since a street racer doesn't have timeslips I'll give you an example of mine. Compare the mph gain from the 1000' to the 1320' and see the gain. I'm not talking the actual mph, the mph gained during that portion of the track. It is on par with a 10 second car. I'll give you truth again from a timeslip. My car (12.138 pass) at the 1000' mark = 89.517mph at the 1320' mark = 114.156 = 24.639 mph gain. Other car (10.875 pass) at the 1000' mark = 99.836 at the 1320' = 124.039 = 24.203 mph gain. Yes a modded SRT6 pulls the equivalent on the top end of a 10 sec car.
So how is this talking smack? I'm talking facts. Anything else?
Thanks Brian and Blue.

Ok. Can we stop with the attacks the t i t for tat BS?
If yer not interested, read and move on.
I welcome anyone that is willing to help us in getting parts for our cars.
YES they will have to prove that they build a quality product to earn a good rep with us here on the forum.
I have bought parts from some of the current vendors that most respect and have no problem sending hard earned cash to so our cars will perform even better than they do stock. I have also spent hundreds getting the same said parts to work properly. Am I mad at the vendor? No.
I bought what was offered and dealt with it.
Some of us will have to step up to the plate and give this new guy a chance. jfire is the first and I have made contact and may be the next in line.
Chill out folks, no more attacks. Time will tell if we genuinely have another great vendor helping us do what we do!
And that's my 2 cents on the subject.
Thanks!
dj

I'm not going to kiss nobodys a$$ just cuz they say they are going to make parts for us. If he can do it, prove it. While he may be well known where he comes from, nobody knows him here or MBworld. He says he works on Mb's does that makem qualified to make parts for them? He just might be as good as he says, but point is nobody knows here. I hope he is as interested making parts for our cars as he says. If he is just looking for a payday then he is on the wrong forum. I like and respect our current vendors because they are proven (for the most part) and are enthusiasts of the car. I also welcome new vendors, but he did come thru the door being a lil brash. I like talking trash and it seems he does too, and thats cool. Bottom line is he is going to have to prove it with a product that performs. And thats my .02 cents.
With all that said, welcome if your here as an ethusiast here to help other enthusiasts.

Those of us willing to pioneer the way with the more hardcore, one -off mods are going to need to be able to tune ourselves.

One more point - - Trbokmro - - If you really want to manufacture and sell performance parts for the SRT6 - Street use, Drag use, Autocross or road course use..... you need to buy, drive and race an SRT6.
You won't be able to properly (or effeciently) Design, built, fit, R&D and test products on a customers car...you need to own and drive one to understand many of the limitations other members are having.
Buy one - I bet you can get one on the cheap......
