TRBOKMRO, now you see why I asked to talk to someone, rather than post on here. I have fabricators around here as well, but don't have the time to research the car. Like RIOT has stated, he loans his car out to LET, and I have been there personally to vouch for that fact. They did my tune and RIOT, BIKECOP, and I tested on the track together. Too bad you are so far away from me, I would love to work with someone on projects. These cars are more complicated because of the ECU and all the sensors that MB uses in their cars. I used a stall converter on my Camaro back in the
70's but haven't had that many autos to play with since then. So, lets stay possitive, and see what you can do. I am willing to listen, but you have to willing to learn more about our little rides. That way, we all win.

A simple test would be to "switch" the pulley on at engine start - this could be done with a simple (and reversible) modification in the fuse box. I did a similar type mod to run my IC pump when the key is switched "on".

I think you may discover some tune issues at idle and low RPM - but most off all - - extremely elevated IAT's.

Seems like we always get back to that Bocsh ECU.......

This was requested of the C32 before as well - most knowledgeable MBW members said don't bother, unless you're running race springs on the track you won't notice a difference - the chassis is already very stiff (not like dealing with A3 VWs or E30 BMWs, etc). Plus, if you're running the stock or SL55 intake, a strut-tower bar will be a royal PITA whenever changing/cleaning filters, removing the plenums, etc.

Pehaps I missed it but, it would be nice to have a bolt-on catback exhaust (better flowing and better sounding) for the SRT6.

Can this kit be done for less than half?

Thanks for the info as I was unaware but I so seem to notice a little sway in mine when I corner hard as i can even hear a little creak in my dash.

Nowdays these braces are not like the old versions that run dirctly across from strut to strut they offer several versions that angle backward and around.

I feel the love again! Anyway, I don't have a 6, just a NA XF, anyway, from reading posts here and there, it seems the SC has a clutch that when it speeds up, engages so you have max HP, but is disengaged when at idle, low RPM. On my street bikes, some have a slipper clutch that I can tune the speed at which the slipper clutch "ramps up". Instead of having a SC clutch that slowly engages as RPM's go up, could there be a use for a SC clutch tha "ramps up, quicker than that of the stock one. Any benefits? Just thinkin for the 6 guys.

Greg,
The SC clutch just switches on and full engagement. There are a couple of posts and "discussions" at what speed it engages. Some say as low at 1300rpm I believe and others around 2000rpm. The manual says is will not engage above 3000rpm, so it has to be before that. No waiting involved either way. Stomp and Gooooooooooo.....

all my experience with aftermarket is direct i agree with some crazy german design to help fuel economy.....

if there are any body besides my test bed cars are willing to send me the pulley for prototyping, without the clutch PLEASE speek up! I can get a hold of my engineeres and see what options are avalible.. I cannot see what negatives are involved, besides fuel economy or traction issues, why instant boost would be a bad thing!?! Any commemts?

ps tighed1 you are a TRUE gearhead!

Can't be that much of a difference if it were directly connected.
Plus the SC would be connected ALL OF THE TIME. No delays at all.
I think a directly connected pulley would work.
Woody?

X2 for the line lock kit for drag racers. and a cheaper pulley set up would be nice i have been sitting on buying pullies for a while and can't see dropping 1,000 for a brand new set =(. code 3 SC pulley is a nice alternative. but i still haven't decided.

Okay sorry I'm sorry to rehash but this qote has really bugged me in particular and i would like to clarify just for my sake, what i meant.

I do NOT want to dog anyones car no matter how fast or slow they are! At my shop everything is welcome no matter how trick or stock they may be! I sponsor the cavalier club of americas dyno day at my shop with $20 dyno pulls so enthusiasts can be around followers and have a great time!

I am sad to see, what could be a great supercar fall between the cracks just because the bigwig, profit oriented company's, do not think there is enough demand for an aftermarket product supply to a limited production car!

I know now from these threads that there are a large following, and demand, to try and help these cars break out of the confinments of the 12 second catagory, and want to offer my experince and knowledge to make this a reality.

I hope some day we can put asside owr differences in ideas and help each other in the pursute of the ultimate goal..... one my father always supported me with..... GOING FASTER!

Take this as my personal appology for the bitter words spoken on my behalf and yours, since you are obviously an inteligent man, please help our quest for improvments to an already excellent vehicle! I am here to help you and others make your passion all that you want it to be, and feel free to call me at 309-523-9200 if you would like to talk personally!

I did respond with what I would like made available for our cars. I hope your the one who delivers and becomes another valuable source. Also I recommend the SSB because it is the fastest color available. Please don't insult us again by saying our 12 second cars are for wives. Your practically speaking to the entire SRT6 forum with that one. We all love our 12 second cars and wouldn't trade them.[/quote]

are you looking for a bolt-on line lock kit inculing the new hardlines? There are many kits avalible for other vehicles, and producing these could be a possibility, is there anyone else that might be interested? If so give me some feedback!!!

I'd be interested in a line lock kit as long as it doesn't cost $395.

I just bought Goodridge SS lines, would it be possible to make it compatible?

they are using 2 line lock solinoids and a lot of an fittings, the big factor will be how hard it is to get the front brake line coming from the master cyl. by using half the parts, price drops!

I kinda think this was beat down due to nobody could agree on anything. 240 and myself had custom ones built. He didn't like the noise on duals and sold it. He also stated no HP/TQ gains with this but picked up HP/TQ with a 3" custom single pipe. I'm still running my duals they are loud, as far as gains, I have no idea after my car is finished I will dyno and tune, but I'm doing it all at once so I have no individual breakdown.

Already in the process and should have a bolt on kit within 1-2 weeks.

I would also be interested in a full bolt on exhuast system, with the option of having the stock muffler tips.

thanks,
Frank

Thanks for the apology.

Here is another more high end mod, more like software mod. As MHP puts it full driveline tuning with ECU/TCU tuning even raising the stall. The C32 is very similiar to our cars, and TCU tuning would be great to have. At $1500 by itself or $3000 for the package, no thanks. Another area with lots of potential but at a much better price point.
