Default JAZ one pint oil can

Figured while I finish modifying my intake plenums, I would take care of the PCV problem too. I used the JAZ can. It is a nice set up that allows you to vent all three valve cover locations into the oil catch can, plus it looks real nice under the hood with the chrome K&N filter on top.

THe factory uses the throttle body to DRAW gasses out of the valve covers with filter air being supplied to on fitting. Just venting the lines does not draw off the water vapor and gasses as strongly.

I anticipate that you blocked off the throttle body vacuum line?

Woody
FYI driver valve cover innards.

Enjoy, life is short

For looks - I really like this one - just at $144 it's a bit pricey

I went with this one from Jeggs for $45.00

It was smaller and fit better in the engine compartment

The JAZ can has a slide valve for easy draining. I dont have to move anything or use any tools to drain the can, I can easily reach the valve and the 1/4" drain hose goes into my oil drain pan for when I change the oil or need to empty the can. Plus it looks pretty sweet

Yes I blocked off the throttle body vacuum. I don't feel there is any need to draw in the warm air. There is enough pressure to vent moisture and oil into the can without the throttle assisted vacuum. I think with the K&N filter on top that should allow the moisture a way to vent off. The set up also allows you to remove the filter and cap the can to run with a vacuum set up if you want.

you paid how much??? You realize you can get the same thing (looks exactly the same) from a hardware store in the air compressor section for like $10.00. Its an oil seperator.

Yea - but those look like they should be bolted to an air compressor - not next to a SRT6 engine - nor do they come with the nice nickel fittings and a bracket (I got one with my air compressor)

Besides - those are air/water separators - not sure you can clean the filter element once they've been saturated with engine oil.

Yea the nickel finish and bracket is MIA, but they can be recleaned and such. I've had them on the Crossfire for about a year now and yes it does look ghetto.
