Car's back in the shop
Well, I think my intercooler pump died last week so I took the car in for some work today. Here's what I'm getting done:
1) New IC pump
2) Door grab trim is peeling and slicing fingers
3) Lots of oil on the passenger side valve cover- I forget, is this a common problem? I think the gasket is bad.
4) Broken headlight mount tab-hopefully I get a new headlight and half my hazy headlight problems will be gone.
5) Click noise when I turn the wheels to full lock, I think it might be a tie rod or ball joint issue.
Hopefully all will get fixed under MaxCare, until then I've got to deal with a Dodge Caliber rental again...

Well, heard back from the dealer today and don't have many positive things to say:
1) Can't replicate the IC failure... they say I have a code for an MAF sensor, but I don't think that is it. Is there a way to simply test the IC pump?
2)MaxCare won't cover interior trim. Thought this might be the case.
3) Valve cover is leaking, new gasket ordered.
4) MaxCare won't cover headlights. I can understand the fogging/ hazing type of claim, but a broken mount should be covered!
5) Can't replicate the steering click...
I think I am going to have to go over and sit with the tech (who by the way owns an SRT'6) and hold their hands on issues 1 and 5.

After trying to replace the intake air temp sensor, and getting a special Chrysler technician to look at my car the dealer has concluded that.....
Wait for it...
The IC pump is out. If only they would have listened to me in the first place they could have saved themselves 5 days of troubleshooting. Now I have to wait until Tuesday for the part to come in. This forum has made me too smart for the dealer's own good.
