In process of buying SRT-6. My idea on performance parts
The car comes with Needs wings CAI and Intake Manifold Gaskets, Johnson pump and Sprint booster. I think I will install those, then probably go with a Code 3 PERFORMANCE SUPERCHARGER PULLEY & INTAKE BUNDLE, then get a tune. Thoughts on Code 3 and where to get a tune from? I probably wont do any other mods after that.

with our CAI kit on the car the code3 intake won't fit. the code3 intake is a tweak to the stock air box assembly which was removed when our cai was installed. shoot me a pm and we can discuss the current and future mods
As for tune there are pretty much two schools of thought Eurocharged/LET tune and InMotion... do research and make your decision as for what you like best
ok so what pulley is best with the CAI? The deal is 100% sealed yet but test drove it and its perfect. working out my financing now.

The Code 3 S/C pulley will fit just fine on the SRT. What ichon and Needswings are referring to is the modification to the stock airbox that Code 3 offers and you alluded to in the "CODE 3 S/C PULLEY & INTAKE COMBO" ... with the Needswings CAI the Code 3 intake modification would be rendered useless. The Code 3 S/C pulley does fit.
Your other option since you have the CAI is to go with the Eurocharged 185mm crank pulley kit. You will see great increases with either.

If you want fast, great tuning ability, and reliability then go with a 178 ASP crank pulley and an InMotion tune. No guessing, it's a proven fast combination. I couldn't agree more...well maybe not about the 178/inmotion, but definately about the GO STEELERS!!! part...
He is right about Code 3, you will get about a 50/50 split of praise/admonishing for Code 3...mostly for customer support...if you want to call it that.
ok so. Code 3 looks no good. What size / brand pulley? any realy difference in tune between inmotion and TVT SRT6 CUSTOM Tuning and LET Tuning?
An improved heat exchanger is always a good idea when running a pulley be it crank or supercharger driven. There's also the always on cooling pump mod.

if you are installing the cm 30 pump consider a heat exchanger upgrade. either the woody supercooler by tighed1 or a needswings cooler or let. the oem just doesnt do the job needed for the s/c as long as you dont need customer support from code 3 their pulley is the easiest install
Code 3 65mm pulley is very close to 178 for supercharger RPM and reall easy to put on and take off. I went that route, but havn't done a tune yet and not sure if I will. Tune will create better chance of deto from leaner running and advanced timing, hence reduced power if the deto sensor starts pulling timing out. It will be fine I'm sure for short blasts on 92 octane, but its still on my mind when putting the motor on the edge. I just wonder if tune is worth it running on the street on 92 octane pump fuel if the intake charge can't be cooled better.
OK so the pulley is solved. what about the tune. Who is best performance and price wise? Should only need 1 time tune. Also anyone have similar set up (single CAI, Pulley, tune) run theirs 1/4 mile can u expect to get?

...for more cooling you can separate your enging cooling from your S/C cooling...
I think Woody has temps almost a full tick below stock temps.
No deto worries there. Tune or not.

I have put my Code3 pulley to the test against a friend countless times in stock and moded form, I have achieved two car lengths improvement from 0-70mph, however.... keep in mind I have an Intake as well. With my intake we were dead even every time so ive been able to observe and take note of gains. I deffinately felt in 2nd gear onwards was where i could see the car start to pull away to an eventual two cars by about 70mph.

Theres no way you can convince me theres a difference if it's turning the supercharger the same RPM. Now lets hear about the different tunes. As I would also like to see if they really make a difference with CAI and pulley already in place in true street trim, not cooled and iced down intakes and supercharger at the strip.
If I was to start over again, I wouldn't go with the Code3 pulley. Why? I don't have anything against Code3 or the pulley. They've both been great to me.
But I want more! (You'll find that you always want more) If I was starting over, I would go with the ASP 178mm pulley. Why? Because if you want more after that, you can add a Code3 mid-sized pulley and bump up your boost again.
If you go Code3 orginal sized from the start there's nowhere to go unless you ditch the Code3 and buy a 181mm or 185mm.

ok well C3P doesn't look so bad now. I really dont think I will be doing any other modding after the pulley, CAI and tune.
