You guys are giving the dealership way too much credit for car knowledge when they bought this car. The buyer for this very small independent dealer didn't know the mess he was getting into at all. He is just as screwed as whoever he sells this thing to - he has already paid for the silly thing. This thread has gone on for several months - the floor plan is up. Most independent dealers in Orlando are on a 45 day turn these days & this car has been there way longer. Most of these small "dirt lot dealers" don't know crap about our cars because they have been out of the price range they buy until recently. I promise you that they bought this thing well, but the dealer is SCREWED! If someone does buy it they don't have any recourse against the dealer if they find out the vehicle has been picked apart. The vehicle has a clean title and all the independents sell their cars "As-Is". Even the nicer independents that I work with don't know much about our car - I get calls at my office asking about options, opening the top, opening the hood, etc. The dealer should have considered buyer beware too on this one!

I agree the dealership is just as screwed as the next buyer, but that is the chance you take when you buy at low priced dealer auctions. It's also the buisness of how they make their profit and why they have such a low standing in the world of honor and integrity. In my opinion they should be the ones who get stuck with this lemon, or at least tell the truth and sell it for what they paid; which in my estimate is about what it's worth. Continuing to lie now that they have been informed of the truth is not buyer beware! Give them a call and then make a statement about their actions.

Deal?
