i bet the hitrate works great but it does not go as far as the octane booster.

1 gallon of the octane booster can make 64 gallons of 93 octane into 98 octane which is not too shabby!

be really careful not to get the octane booster on your paint! i got a drop on my old red car and it absorbed into the paint and made a green dot that would not come off.

Good deal. Have you always run this stuff? Did you run it at MIR?

yes, at mir i was only running 95.5 octane though. at pittsburgh when i ran a little faster with 1800da i ran 98 octane, it seemed to make a bigger difference. i was trapping 114.45mph in higher DA than when we were at MIR. i just can not get the 60' times you can i am stuck in the 1.85's

i just ordered another gallon too lol, i went out and checked my supply and i only have 24oz left!

what i do is fill up my tank, add 2 bottles and drive to the track (about 180 miles!) then by the time i get there the car is used to the higher octane in the tank and adjusts the "tune" to accommodate for it.

So what this is telling us is that 93 just isn't cutting it for this setup? Probably pulling a lot of timing in the upper RPM's.

that is what i think too, the car does seem to pick up some top end with higher octane.

The crazy thing is the car made good runs on the eurocharged dyno on 93 plenty of power to hit 11.9's in good air. Now it runs weak on 93. Perhaps i had a tank of 93 that just had a high mixture of eth in it and now the current has less. That would definiately cause a reduction in octane rating. and making the knock sensor pull a timing.

Sonoco makes 100-104 unleaded octane gas i think the later is oxygen enriched.

Yes, but in good air that tune would probably lean out. This is why i SOOOOOOOOO want a little program and a laptop to play with my fuel/timing curves on different weather days. It's so frustrating that we cant do this without spending thousands of dollars on the equipment......

it sucks all gas is required to be 10% ethanol now but check this out:

Gasoline could go from 10% ethanol up to 20% - USATODAY.com

now that really sucks

I dont think thats going to be much of an issue in the years to come i think Eth is on the way out as an alternative fuel.
