Get it on the PC. Shooter games are way better with a mouse and a keyboard not to mention the better graphics. But I do like the big screen and laying around on the couch vs a chair.

Right now in regards to gaming Uncharted 2 and Borderlands is keeping me busy.
How is Borderlands?

In response to pc vs console:
my response to that old chestnut is always that while playing a shooter on pc is like surgery, but there is a certain charm to playing a game on the sofa with a 1080p projector and 7.1 sound!
Also: you can connect a mouse and keyboard to your console if you really want.

I totally agree and no one other than old-school PC shooting game fans can understand. It's been several years since I've been into building my own gaming systems. I've since move to Macs and only use my computer(s) for work/video production.

Once the newest-gen systems came out and ran 720/1080 HD I made the switch to console gaming only. It was a PITA getting used to COD2 with a controller. It's like second nature now but it's still not as natural as keyboard and mouse.

Finally, I feel the console systems are a better bang for the buck. Keeping up with technology on the pc (graphics cards, SLi, etc) is quite expensive. Plus you never had incompatible hardware setups. Just pop it in and it works.

PS I saw Fallout on my friends PC with the high-res textures loaded...wow! Looks amazing.

Incorrect. Only a few games support it. Unreal Tournament for the PS3 does. I was so amped about it- but hated the way the mouse felt. The mouse smoothing just felt off.

Borderlands is good man. It got me to stop playing Uncharted2 in it's tracks, and that is a great game in it's own right. Borderlands is like a 3D first-person shooter version of Diablo 2. It's a big looting game- but still a lot of fun. There are over 10,000 unique guns in the game. Plus I dig the cell-shade look- reminds me of Crackdown which I absolutely LOVED!

you can buy third party adapters that convert controller input into mouse and keyboard.

I don't want to open that can of worms on pc vs console. They both are great. I had played a few games on the pc but really got hooked when the first Unreal Tournament came out. The multiplayer was sick and there was nothing even close to that experience on a console. Consoles made a huge leap with the hd and being able to connect to the internet. They are just like pcs when you open them up. The pop it in and play is nice and everyone has the same set up so the playing field is equal.

Bang for the buck, sure on the initial investment. But pc games are cheaper and you get tons of extras from developers and mods. It cost a lot to always have the best hardware but most systems can play games for years before you have to get a new system. That's the point where I'm at. New pc or more mods for the xfire!!!

You couldn't have said it any better. I was the same way! I was a hardcore PC gamer before the PS3 came out. Having to upgrade your system every year to play the latest games gets very pricey!! IMO, PC games have more depth than console games have. This may change soon though.....Fallout 3 was such a great game!! Definitely on my top 5 list.

+1 I doubt the xfire will be on GT5 anyway. Forza is so much more in depth, the modding side of things is awesome. U can do practicaly anything u can think of
