Default Zeitronix installed...

Okay, I finally got all the little things I needed to finish the cabeling and connect it to the ECU. Here are the pics of the install.

Electronics box with the RCM, ECU and BCM removed where theZeitronix cable will feed through the bottom of the box into the cabin....

Here is the cable feeding through(black cover)....

Cabel coming into the cabin behind the glove box...

Installed complete and electronics re-installed....

And finally, all buttoned up and ready to plug in the laptop....

Now it's time to go play with it...

My Zeitronix connection wire for the lap top plug in connection is hidden in the removable dash pannel you see when the passenger door is opened. The same pannel that houses the passenger air bag cut off. The two large plastic factory screws can be turned with a penny. Have you noticed the data logging when our SRT automatic's shift at WOT? You can keep the petal to the floor, but when our transmissions shift, the computer cuts the TPS way back during gear shift then to the floor again without you knowing. Maybe to keep the engine from over revving during shift,to help keep the tires from spinning so bad going into second or just for the Mercedes smooth shift?? It will also verify what Rob's has been warning us about concerning the 185 crank pulley. It will run dangerously lean at WOT. Where's our fuel upgrade Rob???? Squirrel Crusher

I did a test run with it but the file didnt save right for some reason. It is raining like crazy here so I cant get too carried away. I just wanted to see how it looks. All of my dyno sessions show my AFR at around 12.7 at WOT. I may get the MAP sensor from them so I can have accurate boost numbers too. It will be a snap to add now.
I have a 181 so I dont have to worry about leaning out....... I am seriously thinking of add a meth kit too... Now I can monitor and see how it performs and what changes I might need to make...

beautiful pictures mike, thank you! yes that seems to be the preferred way into the cabin instead of using the rubber grommet under the battery tray. do you mind if i use some of those pictures to add into our writeup?

i have our zt2 brain in the same elastic pocket there on the pass side, makes it very easy to access the port to plug in different displays.

Dyno tuned by LET with 11.7 AFR straight across the board contact Jerry or Wayne. They saved the file.

I think he's asking for a datalog from a run at least thru 3rd in a real nice cold air conditions. Do you have a datalogger that can record a run hooked up? The race date in december from mb world would be a great place to get a sweet datalog and dip into the 11's. The DA is supposed to be unreal.

MikeR once your weather gets better maybe you can post up a run through 3rd. You should think about hitting Sacramento on the 5th of December for our part of east vs west.

I'm heading down to MIR 12/5 got rained out of ATCO. I have a Auterra DashDyno, that reads from the OBII port I'll data log when I'm down there if I can figure it out. The meter was loosing files and not downloading right. They stated I had to upload the lastest addition software which I did but haven't tried it since then. Besides Matt from the forum is heading down so I'm sure he'll have equipment.

Were you able to get some DR's? That weather is like a once a year opportunity in your part of the country.

No drag radials, still trying to lock down a trailer because the wife is going to attend. This way if something breaks we don't get stuck there.

Definitely try to get some DR's or at least go half and half with Matt for a set to use that day. Mickeys or Hoosiers. With temps as cold as it will be, your stock tires will become dangerous. I've only ran once without my DR's, launched spinning a little but really spun when car shifted from 1st to 2nd. Went towards the center line and if the t/c yaw sensor? wouldn't have taken over I would have crossed and probably hit the wall. So be careful. I would compare it to your viper coming on hard in 2nd and losing all traction.
