Just so you know it is not just a fuel filter. Mercedes was very thrifty and integrated the fuel pressure regulator into the fuel filter which is part of the reason it is not cheap. You can also try Rob at NW I think he carries them too.
Why are you replacing the fuel filter? I've always been under the impression that the fuel filter only needs to be replaced when it's clogged (the engine runs rough). Even a new filer can get clogged by contaminants in the gas.

I'm mainly just concrned with getting the best product since I'm getting it done.
I just did the Service B on my SSB and that checklist in the owners service booklet says to replace the cabin filter and the fuel filter....... I did the cabin filter... not sure about the fuel filter as I only have 12K on it and it is a real PITA..... maybe when it get warmer...
be careful about local auto parts fuel filters. the part number has been supersceeded with a new one, there is an updated one. they look the same externally, im not sure what was changed internally.
we can get the new bosch filters/regulators for $40, ill get them on our website

I recently changed mine at 52k miles and there was all kinds of black gunk/stuff that came out of it. I would recommend anyone with higher milage to change it out.
