Yup. I was. If I'd have hit the brakes right then, I would have been at the bottom of the mountain real quick.

I relaize this, but a stab brake right before hitting those leaves made sure I decreased speed enough to safely manuever through them, wet or dry. I am not trying to knock your driving ability in the slightest, just saying even Massa and Schumacher use the brakes

Chased him through 10+ times, had him chase me through a few times too, and went on a run or two with him. I am not saying we were regularly above 130 in the hell bender, but if we were....

Also had a lengthy discussion with him last night on the telephone. I think we have pretty similar viewpoints on performance and how to drive through the twisties. He has not driven a 6 speed XF and I have not driven an SRT, so within the next few weeks, we are going to try each other's out and see what the conclusions are, should be interesting.....

 

Are you seriously suggesting that your NA could keep up with an SRT?

In some of the tighter twisties, with the wheel/tire upgrades, brake upgrades, and the new go fast goodies I have planned, I think it will get very interesting....

Come Fall, I would love to follow you through Frank, see what that little topless wonder will do

Tom, Doc, and I always have a good time. And we never talk about who was fastest (unless Doc is breaking Tom's ***** LMAO)

 

Given the President's new energy policies, I plan to be running my car on Unicorn Farts. That way, with you running behind me, I won't offend.

It is fun to verbally joust about who is "fastest" but most runs thru the Dragon end up behind an old bass boat or a well intentioned Volvo keeping us all legal. HP is a small factor in the Perma grin experience thru the twisties.

Frankly, I'm not that fast and technicaly, my driving style beats my poor little car like it was a rented mule. But I have a blast doing it with good friends.

Can't wait for the Fall Dragon runs.
