What do you as SRT-6 drivers have to pay for your License plates each year.
Up here in Montana they seem high at about $370. per year. Much less than a lot of the vehicles out there.
Without sales tax they really try to hit us hard on plates.

You are getting off easy.

Our sales tax in Georiga is 6-8%, depending on what county you are in.
AND...
Tags are based on the value of the car. A new car can run $400 to $700 for the first year, my old pickup was around $50 a year.
My now 5 year old Limited was, I THINK, about $135 this past March.
So, they get you coming and going here.

 

Paid $500+ for a year on each of the SRTs last year.

Down below $500 each this year.

 

IL is about $100 per year, add a few bucks for personalized.
But we have ~6-8% sales tax (if bought from a dealer).

 

Tn about $85 / year in Sumner Co. after you buy the car. Sales tax on purchase 9.25%!!!!!!!!

 

No sales tax and $117 for 2 years.... includes $21 DEQ fee and $25/year for vet plates....

 

Just got my re-new form today and its $171.00 for that little sticker, so i guess I,m in the middle range for prices.

 

In Pennsylvania annual registration is $36.00. Its been that price for at least 15 years. The governor wants to boost it to $49.00 annually for "road and bridge" improvements, the usual tax or fee increase excuse. Our state sales tax is limited to specific products or services.

In Ontario I pay $148 and $40 for a Drive Clean (smog) every 2 years per car. My personalized plates were $235 per car. HST (harmonized sales tax) is 13% on purchase price plus $100 air cond. tax + 13% HST on that too. Fortunately no gas guzzler tax.........yet!

 

In Spartanburg SC the tag renewal fee is $24. However the county and city vehicle taxes on the roadster are $248.03, decal $1.00 and road fee $25 for a total of $298.03. Just paid for the coupe and it was $358.

 

I don't get the GA ad-velorum tax... Hello, you pay sales tax on it initially. It's just rediculous.

I can't complain... I paid a 1-time $20 fee for personal plate and $100 every 2-years for my Alaska registration... I live in GA, but I'm military and still an AK resident.

 

We pay 25.00 a year for plates and then a sliding excise tax fee per year on the value of the car. we also pay a 6.25 sales tax fee at the first registration. I think mine was 350.00 this year.

 

Michigan: $160 for the roadster, $186 for the SRT6, and $179 for the 2007. I think each of these also include $15 for the vanity plate. It's based on original cost of the vehicle and becomes less each year for the first five years, after which it is merely exorbitant. And we still have a 6% sales tax and a state income tax. I just wish they would use these funds and the gas tax to fit the $hitty roads.

 

in Maryland it $135 for a two year sticker. Personalized and Bay/Farm plates are extra. There is no difference between the cost for a conv or a hdtp, they are all considered passenger cars.
$370 a year is high, but what are you gonna do? You are paying for all that big sky!
