Default needed turn signal housing

I was browsing thru the parts pdf on here, but couldn't find the turn signal housing. It is the part you put the turn signal bulb in. I tried to solder it, but, it didn't fix it. I put the one in from the roadster, and it worked fine. Bulb is fine. My roadster's housing looks like an upgrade, built better than the one on the coupe. Anyway, anyone have a better parts manual than me...I need the part # so I can order one. Thanks for the help...

I guess this is one of those parts I will have to deal with Chrysler on....and you know how I feel about that....lol

I ordered one from Chrysler today...get ready, because this is a part that will fail for you someday. When I get the part in,, I will post the proper name and part #...

The part number on the one I purchased is: 1-05174703AA. If I remember correctly, it was about $25.00. Before I bought it, I noticed the same problem that you did; replaced the bulb and still no light. I cut a small strip of aluminum and bent a tab on the end to make the contact that on the the original had broken off. I then fit it into the slot over top the original, reinserted the bulb and housing, and it worked. (I had learned to be very resourceful when I was younger and had no money.) When I went to the dealership to see if they had the part (several days later), I thought if I don't buy this part, my fix will stop working, and I will never find this part again ... That was about a year ago: My repair is still working. You are correct in observing the the replacement is a bit thicker. I think if I ever have to actually use it, I may have to file the slot that the tab goes in just a bit. TBW

thanks for the post. I actually resoldered the tab on the outside as well as the one on the inside, but didn't have any luck. So, I did order a new one, and didn't ask for the part number at the time, but will verify your part number, as well as Mike's. This will be a problem in the future for those who have the old style.

The -10 on the part number I listed is just the call out number from the service manual. The part number is the same as TBW's....

well, when I pick this one up, I am going to order another for the shelf. The roadsters are definitely better made. Must have changed vendors somewhere along the line...maybe I can get Gary to make a sticky out of this one as well...I will PM you Mike, need your opinion on the meth install.

Seems Chrysler doesn't make this part anymore. My question is does the part from the Mercedes work in it's place? If so, does anyone know the Mercedes part # so I can get one asap!!!!! Thanks.

I removed the intermittent socket and found that the one of the exterior contacts appeared to have lost the solder point was missing and can be repaired. Also check contact points inside the socket for any dirt accumulation or corrosion.

For those who may require a replacement:

05174703AA. Mopar. SOCKET. Turn Signal Lamp. Lamps Front.

Ok, I'm sad , Left turn signal is out and nobody has this part since it is discontinued. I called the Chrysler Parts Dept who gave me a reference number for MB but when I called the MB Parts Dept. He said that is not a MB Number. The number I got from Chrysler was A1938260182. Ok Forum members any thoughts on what I can do?

I found some more possibilities.
Try searching eBay for "peugeot bulb holder" or "citroen bulb holder"

This 'looks' right : PEUGEOT INDICATOR BULB HOLDER 1007 207 307 406 607 807 | eBay

or this one :

I started to blow the $15 just to see, then thought, naw, I'll let mariontr do it. Ain't I a nice guy ?
