I installed the supercooler in March and at first the engine was a few clicks cooler than normal, but now with Chicago Summer driving the thermostat is a few clicks hotter than normal with the massive supercooler. Any ideas?

The Supercooler will block some of the airflow to the radiator so as the temps go up so may your cars temp go up.
Did you separate the cooling systems?
It's been 100+ around here and my cars run a bit hotter than "normal" (both have Supercoolers)

 

I ran a pair of 8" pusher fans behind the grill on my supercooler to help with air flow to both the supercooler and radiator.

 

Did you have those on a thermistat or switch?

 

I wired them to charged air water pump which was hard wired when the ignition was on. It helped a lot, plus I could keep the fans/pump on with the engine off to cool the fluid in the charged air circuit.

 

Do you have the separation valve open or closed?

I've noticed that when I'm not racing, if I open the valve the engine temps run cooler (it's like having two radiators). But for racing, I close the valve because I was cooler intake temps.
