They are complete although there are a few more and/or better pics I hope to add.

The Paddle shifter thread https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...dle-shift.html was getting long and much of the discussion has more to do with the history of this mod than anything else.

So, I thought I would start a new thread with a PDF copy of the install instructions at it's beginning (so finding them will never be too hard).

I am hoping that in this thread I can answer any questions that are not made clear in the instructions and in turn update the instruction pdf when it seems appropriate.

I am continually looking for ways to make the kit easier to install and welcome and and all input.
Constructive feedback on the instructions and the Kit is always welcome either here or in PM.

Also, if you have already done the install and have any Tips you would like to share that you feel might help others, please post those here too!
Chris

yes, I /he am still around. I got and replied to your message on June 26th. Check the spam folder in your Hotmail account perhaps? The paddle shifter kits are currently sold out and I don't know if or when I will make more. Anyone who wants to be notified when they are available can send me an email at latemodel21@yahoo.com .... and then I will provide an update if and when I build more. Cheers and stay safe, Chris

Who has an unused paddle shifter kit laying around somewhere?
Did the ECU and TCU tune on my SRT-6 and installing a paddle shifter kit would be awesome.

So,....any kits available? Give me a shout. Willing to pay the price,...;-)

Wow
if you don’t already have the paddle shifter kit, get in line. The kit is easy to install, is a lot easier to use then the right and left motions on the stick and they look pretty cool.

Its worth the money.

Since this is the "Paddle shifter install instructions completed" thread, I will add the latest updated version of the instructions. There are a couple of changes to the kit itself (to make it more robust though none have failed) and to make the install easier. I have also added more pictures and helpful detail to operations in the install that remain the same. SO, if someone is installing a kit purchased prior to 2021, they should still use the last version of the instructions (that can be found in post 180 of this thread), but they will likely find some useful added detail in the latest version linked below (which includes more than 50 annotated pictures).

follow this link to the updated install instructions ...
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K96...ew?usp=sharing

Kits are once again in stock. Send me an email at Latemodel21@yahoo.com for more info.

Cheers,
Chris

These kits are very professionally made up and the instructions are very clear and explicit so follow them. Read them at least twice and get to know what part is meant in each step. If you want a kit get it now this may be your last chance.
I found that cutting into the back of the steering wheel was the hardest part as you want to make sure you do it neatly and in the exact spot described. You want it to look like it was put in carefully, I used a fine pointed Xacto knife and pushed it in just a 1/16” so the cuts all joined up following the template. I thought tracing around the template could lead to the knife going off course and leave a deep cut in the plastic.
Cutting the rear of the console makes it a doddle to remove the ashtray assembly after you remove the four rear screws as the console can be sprung open to remove the ash tray easily.

Thanks for the kind words, Dave. So grateful for all of the input from seasoned members like yourself that has helped to make this kit and other products as useful and user/installer friendly as possible

AND, so grateful that you, and so many of my other friends, are still around after all this time (and the pandemic).

Cheers to all !
Chris

Is there anyone in Connecticut who can perform this install for me? I’ve had a heart attack, heart surgery and a hip replacement. My hand eye coordination and left arm have been compromised and no way I can do it. I’ll pay you for your time. Many thanks.

Got my paddle shift kit from Chris Messer this weekend, what a brilliant kit this is. Fitted it in just under 5 hours. Great instructions with detailed photographs. Best to get your tools ready and have a good read through the instructions first. Please take your time when soldering the circuit board and check with a multi-meter. Please contact me if you need any further details.
